Every so often, do you wish you had a nice pen and pencil case? I know I do. This one from Sonnenleder caught the eye, as it has elastic straps to keep up to 8 writing implements neatly organized. And, yes, sure, most of us rely on keyboards and trackpads nowadays, but it’s still nice to slide a pen or pencil across a page every now and then. (I think I will always prefer it.)

So, it turns out there are other smoke alarms (other than the Nest) that aren’t visually offensive. Case in point, the Kapu*: it’s a photoelectric smoke alarm.
