If you’ve got an unsightly crack in your wall, you should fix it, of course. But, seeing as you might be short on time/money/motivation to spackle it properly, these wall stickers of branches and birds could be a temporary alternative. If you’re artistically inclined, you could draw/paint something similar, but then you’d have to paint over the entire area when you’re done, and let’s face it, the less work the better.

Color! Now one of the most lovely dustpan and brush sets is available in color, making spring cleaning a pleasure rather than a chore… er, or hopefully so. We posted the original black/grey color back in ’07, and shortly afterwards I bought one for my studio/office space. I do have to say it makes cleaning up that much nicer.

Well, this would certainly make separating your trash easy and straightforward. The small bin is perfect for compost, as it can be easily carried to your nearest compost heap and is dishwasher proof, while the larger bin will take your paper and plastic recycling. Take a look at these laser-etched Neverend Clocks. It’s a first edition of a series created by Kitsune Noir and Furni, with each edition featuring artwork from a different designer/artist. Sure, the whole ‘keep calm and carry on’ thing is getting a bit overdone, but this is geared towards the photographer, so it’s permissible. Plus, it’s super cheap, so it might cheer up a bare bit of wall.

Woodcut prints will always fascinate me. The end results usually are impressive enough as it is, but knowing the time and patience to get there just adds to the appreciation. These tree prints by Bryan Nash Gill certainly offer a new kind of woodcut experience, by letting the trees speak for themselves.

When looking through a recent issue of Dwell, the “Main Chaude” Oven glove caught my eye. Lo and behold, through another search, I found the retailer again and got sucked into browsing through their whole site. They have quite a bit of little textile jewels for the kitchen and dining zones. Two of my favorites are this glove and placemat:

What appears at first as a vase is actually a stack of 4 unique bowls. Could be a handy thing to have for serving or storing snacks/food, or maybe even on your desk as a receptacle for office supplies. Totem is made by hand, so keep in mind that each one is “perfectly imperfect.”
