TakeBreak Wall Decal

If you’ve got an unsightly crack in your wall, you should fix it, of course. But, seeing as you might be short on time/money/motivation to spackle it properly, these wall stickers of branches and birds could be a temporary alternative. If you’re artistically inclined, you could draw/paint something similar, but then you’d have to paint over the entire area when you’re done, and let’s face it, the less work the better.

Price per sheet.

Morphine Pillow

Do you remember seeing the Dan Golden Rugs we featured a while ago? Well, as luck would have it, there’s now a pillow featuring the same graphic as the Morphine Cartoon Rug, and it costs a mere $100 (compared to the rug prices, that’s practically giving it away).

Available for pre-order, pillows ship June 1, 2010,

Dustpan and Brush (color)

Color! Now one of the most lovely dustpan and brush sets is available in color, making spring cleaning a pleasure rather than a chore… er, or hopefully so. We posted the original black/grey color back in ’07, and shortly afterwards I bought one for my studio/office space. I do have to say it makes cleaning up that much nicer.

Dustpan: Polypropylene
Brush: Beech with natural bristles

Basketbin

Well, this would certainly make separating your trash easy and straightforward. The small bin is perfect for compost, as it can be easily carried to your nearest compost heap and is dishwasher proof, while the larger bin will take your paper and plastic recycling. I’d say it’s a smart choice for your kitchen or your office.

Neverend Clock

Take a look at these laser-etched Neverend Clocks. It’s a first edition of a series created by Kitsune Noir and Furni, with each edition featuring artwork from a different designer/artist. This particular one is by wallpaper designer and artist Dan Funderburgh, and if you’re not familiar with that name, you’re in for a treat. We’ve posted his Chinatown Toile and Flower Pedal wallpaper before, but there’s much more to be seen at his site.

Jenny Gaynor Memory Vase

Hmm, could this be a perfect gift for a wedding/anniversary/etc.? Send up to 24 of your own (digital) photographs to be transferred onto this glass vase, specify the personalized inscription on the base, and bam, you’re done. There’s the option of color or black and white photos, though I’d encourage color. They’re pretty spectacular. Pricing starts at $150.00 for a 3″x6″ vase.

Keep Calm and Snap On Print

Sure, the whole ‘keep calm and carry on’ thing is getting a bit overdone, but this is geared towards the photographer, so it’s permissible. Plus, it’s super cheap, so it might cheer up a bare bit of wall.

Serving Dish with Dual Handles

There’s nothing quite like a new piece of kitchen gadgetry to motivate you to spend more time in the kitchen, right? This Eva Solo serving dish might not look fancy, but it sure sounds handy to have. The stainless steel handles allow you to hold the dish in one hand and serve with the other, or, as the case may be, serve the dish straight from the table and rest assured that the silicone ends will keep your table protected. Plus, it’s fireproof porcelain, so it can handle whatever heat you throw at it.

Tree Prints by Bryan Nash Gill

Woodcut prints will always fascinate me. The end results usually are impressive enough as it is, but knowing the time and patience to get there just adds to the appreciation. These tree prints by Bryan Nash Gill certainly offer a new kind of woodcut experience, by letting the trees speak for themselves.

Two prints are available, the Locust and the Hemlock, which are $800 and $4000 respectively.

“My Computer” Place mat

When looking through a recent issue of Dwell, the “Main Chaude” Oven glove caught my eye. Lo and behold, through another search, I found the retailer again and got sucked into browsing through their whole site. They have quite a bit of little textile jewels for the kitchen and dining zones. Two of my favorites are this glove and placemat:

Totem

What appears at first as a vase is actually a stack of 4 unique bowls. Could be a handy thing to have for serving or storing snacks/food, or maybe even on your desk as a receptacle for office supplies. Totem is made by hand, so keep in mind that each one is “perfectly imperfect.”
