Sweep by Gentner Design

Whoa, this is one serious dustpan and brush. Made entirely of brass and horsehair, the set hangs elegantly from a magnetic peg on the wall. It’s possible that it’s the prettiest dustpan and brush we’ve ever seen- so much so that it would be a shame to hide it away in a pantry or storage closet. Also be sure to check out Gentner Design’s brass Bud Vases and miniature Watering Can.

Ada Sconce

The Ada Sconce is a versatile little light, for its shade is made of two adjustable reflectors on friction hinges. This means you can move the shades around in many different ways to direct the light exactly where you wish. Fans of Charlotte Perriand might recognize a little of her CP-1 Sconce in this design, as this light was inspired by that exact design. And, another nice tidbit: the Ada sconce is named for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which dictates that sconces in hallways must not protrude from the wall more than 4”.

Aulenti Flatware

You may recognize this flatware, as its minimalist vibe harks back to 1970. 1970? Wait, what? Wasn’t that before some of us were born? Yeah, maybe, but let’s appreciate how certain timeless designs remain relevant no matter the decade. Fun fact: Gae Aulenti was one of Italy’s most prolific architects, known for several large-scale museum projects, including the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, the Contemporary Art Gallery at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco.
