Paper Collective Posters

Affordable art at… DWR?? Are we sure about this? Yep, it looks like there are quite a few graphic designs from Paper Collective, all at the approachable cost of $55. I know, I know, by the time you buy a frame with glass, it is no longer all that affordable, but not to worry, as Paper Collective has their Magnetic Stiicks Frame ($60) that easily lets you hang any poster quickly. No ugly thumbtacks required, thank you very much.

Lak Wall Sconce

This little Lak Wall Sconce manages to be both cute and considered. Made by Jielde, a company known for their work lamps, the sconce is a reissue of a design originally conceived in the 1960s by Jean Louis-Domecq. And, should you need a particular hue, you might just be thrilled to know there are many excellent color options available, in either a high gloss or matt finish, or you can get a more precise color match by requesting a RAL color chart.

Richman Dustpan

Cleaning up is a quick job with this Richman Dustpan. How so? Well, the wooden brush nests inside the pan’s handle, which means sweeping up your minor/major messes is a grab-and-go affair. If you’re a multitasker, note that you can carry the dust/rubbish in the dustpan with the brush handily stored underneath, all in one hand. Hang the set together via the loop on the dustpan’s handle.

Cold Bruer Coffee Brewer

If you thought cold coffee was for snobs or sugar junkies, think again. Cold brew coffee is often less acidic and less bitter than hot brewed coffee, and more palatable with milk. Using a slow-drip process with an adjustable valve, the Cold Bruer Coffee Brewer lets you play around with brew time to get your ideal cup. However, don’t think you’ll pull this sort of cold brewing off in a quick minute; the recommended brew time is a 6-hour span, at a drip per second.

Split Step Stool

If you’re going to have a step stool, you might as well make it this one. Why? Well, it’s made of molded steel- that’s what gives the split-legged design its sleekness and strength- and it’s very minimalist. So minimalist, in fact, you could even leave it out all the time as a resting spot for books or a special plant. You’d not say the same for any other step stool you find at the local hardware store, would you? Now on sale.

Fluted Talise Carafe

Water is a necessity, but nowadays too many of us rely on plastic bottles to get our daily intake. Perhaps by purchasing this very nice Talise carafe, you’ll cut down the amount of plastic you use and thus become a more responsible adult. Unending supplies of water and other beverages may be kept in its lovely fluted design, which looks so much more appropriate on a dinner (or conference) table than a six pack of plastic bottles. Use the inner funnel to hold a water filter, if needed, or remove entirely for non-filtered beverages.

Aluminum Ruler

Maybe you already own a perfectly good ruler, but does it use “visual hierarchies of color and shape to articulate the process of measurement”? Probably not, as that’s just what Allon Libermann and Hye Jin Ahn aimed to do with this Aluminum Ruler. If your mind works visually, you might as well have a very visual ruler.

Mail Slot Bowl by Dan Sjogren

No matter how neat and clutter free we attempt to be, there’s still a fair amount of mail, keys, and miscellany that follow us through our front doors. To conquer this choas, consider the Mail Slot Bowl* by Dan Sjogren. It will keep your most recent paper correspondence lined up neatly in a row. Will it force you to take stock of which documents go to the recycle bin and which go to the filing drawer? Eh, maybe. It also has a reasonably sized bowl to park your keys, which might mean you’ll never lose them again. (We can hope.)
