I’ve been a fan of Charles and Ray ever since I first saw their designs. And, man, if you even like the Eames’ a little bit, you should take a look at the film ‘901: after 45 years of working‘ that their son, Eames Demetiros, did of their workshop being packed up for the Library of Congress. It’s pretty amazing.
Small Cards, $25.00
Medium Cards, $45.00
“This 20-card picture deck designed by Charles and Ray Eames portrays images chosen to celebrate what the Eames’ considered good stuff — familiar and nostalgic objects from the animal, mineral, and vegetable kingdoms. The six slots on each card enable the player to interlock the cards to build structures of myriad shapes and sizes. With the help of the player’s creativity and imagination, the House of Cards demonstrates the Eames’ conviction that both beauty and utility can be found in everyday objects.”
