Summer is right around the corner, which means you’ll need cold drinks in good supply. Sempli’s Incanter looks sort of fun, if you can get past the tipsiness that you might feel watching it spin around. Maybe you’ll put fruits in the borosilicate glass infuser and then pour in a liquor, but I’d opt for water or lemonade because I’m not a boozehound (like you). There is something nice about the vessel doing the mixing for you, and it’ll look oh-so-pretty on your table.

The above photo initially baffled me, as I wasn’t quite sure what I was looking at. The honeycomb structure is what caused the confusion, as the Chikuno Cube is normally shown as a black, charcoal cube, and its honeycomb composition is not usually highlighted. If you’re not familiar, the Chikuno Cube is made of activated bamboo charcoal and clay. The cube absorbs odors thanks to its tiny air pockets. To “recharge” the cube, just set it in direct sunlight for a few hours. The simple wood base gives the cube a home, allowing it to make sense amongst your other special things in your closet or bathroom. And, yes, $68 is quite a bit of money to spend on a air freshener, but I’d argue it’s a much better alternative (both in function and in the looks department) to some of your other choices*.

Here’s a nice lamp with a very affordable price tag. Inspired by origami, this lamp is constructed without any screws or glue. It’s held together simply by its interlocking structure. I’m sure we could play a quick guessing game as to what the above item might be, but let’s jump to its purpose: it’s a valet. A clothes valet, in case you are unaware, is usually a waist-high wooden stand of questionable aesthetic value that provides a hanging spot for oft-worn items that are wrinkle prone, like a favorite suit jacket.

I could have sworn we’ve featured the Third Eye Vessel by Chen Chen & Kai Williams before, but apparently I’ve been lusting after it for so long that its image is permanently embedded in my brain. It’s a vessel for holding books and magazines, and it keeps objects stacked at right angles, so you can easily see the spines. You may think it’s ridiculous to pay so much for such a thing, and the opinion that it looks regal and modern and somehow archetypal in its three-legged stance may not sway you into accepting the price tag. However, I’m fast becoming convinced that it may be something worth saving up for… what do you think?

Let’s just get this straight: this lamp is $260*. Compared to the Love Letter Light (also by molo), which ran around the $400 mark, that’s a bargain. Now, consider its marble base, which is actually a byproduct from the base for the Arco floor lamp designed by the Castiglioni brothers. Next, the little paper cap (“cappello” in Italian) is attached to the steel wire with a simple magnetic connection, which allows you to slide and tilt it into any position. Do you remember that it costs $260*? Such a nice price for a lovely little lamp. And, if you like, you can remove the steel wire and paper cap to move the light to other places, say, a wine bottle or a small hole drilled into a wood surface. More shots below.

Prepare yourself, because the rugs from Atelier Février are not cheap, and that’s a bit of an understatement. The Diamond and Sri di Rugs are made of 100% Tibetan wool that is hand-carded and hand-spun; the Nazar rug is made of silk and Himalayan Wool. All are hand-knotted by Tibetan artisans. You should have heard a slight swooshing sound at each of those compound adjectives; they indicate the price tag leaping up way over your budget. The designs are quite beautiful and compelling, as their off-kilter lines keep your eyes enthralled.

Um, say goodbye to your productivity, because there’s patterned Washi Tape that you can color.
