This is just a reminder, if you’ve forgotten, that Isamu Noguchi’s table light sculptures are very affordable. Case in point, the Table Lamp Model 1AG you see above, comes in at $145. My other favorite, the Floor Lamp Model UF3-Q, isn’t so incredibly affordable ($525), but it’s still worth considering as a collector’s item that provides a wonderful, diffused light.

We can avoid thinking about 2016 all we want, but that won’t do anything to postpone its arrival. Might as well prepare yourself by thinking about a new planner for the new year, right? Poketo has a fresh collection of open-dated planners, with weekly and monthly pages ready to start whenever you’d like. I chose the large Mon Cahier Planner myself, but this latest group would fit into a bag much easier for on-the-go planning. Plus, the fun covers are a definite bonus.

Do you use pencils? Do you have a plastic pencil sharpener? Pfft. Toss it in the recycling bin, because this one is much better. Made of solid brass, the Dux sharpener is built to last. Remember the Plopp Stool? Well, that kind of manufacturing process (called FiDU, by the way: ‘Freielnnen Druck Umformung’ = ‘free inner pressure deformation’) isn’t going to just be confined to seating, thank goodness, as that would be a crying shame. Just look at the Tafla Mirrors. Are they not stupendous? Are they not stunning? They’re certainly not cheap (understandably), but man-oh-man, are they spectacular.
