Monument Bookend

The Monument Bookend by Chen Chen & Kai Williams will keep any books in place, thanks to the heft of Italian White Carrara marble. The triangular shape will fit right into any geometry fan’s aesthetic ideal while the neoprene under the bookend’s base will protect the surface of any tabletop, desk or shelf. Super minimal and very sleek, I’d think many a modernist would be happy to receive this as a gift for a special occasion.

Cap Table Lamp

It’s cute, right? Available in white, blush, misty blue, or midnight blue, the Cap Table Lamp has an adjustable shade on a small, cylindrical base. That means it won’t take up too much room on a side table or worktop, yet you’ll be able to direct the light right where you want it. Is it the perfect reading lamp for your favorite reading spot? Could be. Take a look at the different colors and see if one catches your eye.

Zig Zag Cutting Board Set

The Zig Zag Cutting Board Set does double duty; use the flat side as a cutting board or flip it around to use the zig zag side as a trivet or serving board. Plus, they’ll stack and store neatly away when not in use. Both pieces are finished with a food safe, homemade all-natural mix of beeswax and oil (a small tin of the wood balm is included). Nice, huh?

Elephant Chair and Table

Thank goodness someone knows how to make decent children’s furniture without resorting to gimmicks and garish colors. The wrap-around beech wood on this Elephant chair is both fun and elegant in its simplicity. Pair it with the accompanying Table ($278) for a serene spot for your little one’s artwork and puzzles.

Merve Kahraman Mirrors

Merve Kahraman cleverly uses Kvadrat fabric to create pattern on his Pontiac Mirrors. Handcrafted on wood and foam (sounds like a DIY project, doesn’t it?), each mirror’s form is accentuated by fabric lines. A thin wood accent is meant to create an “earthy feeling,” further reinforcing the Native American vibe that serves as inspiration. If the price point is a bit too high for your liking, try making your own (and send me the pics!).

House Power Station Cable Holder

For a long name, this little block of wood doesn’t do much other than hold your cable in place and look cute. But perhaps that’s plenty enough? A slot alongside the bottom of the house lets your cable pass through, yet keeps it from falling off. Uncomplicated.

Less For Less Desk Lamp

Is this the thinnest desk lamp you’ve ever seen? A very slender metal tube bent into a perfect corner comprises the Less For Less Desk Lamp. Could it take up any less room? It’s doubtful; just check out its almost-not-there base. It’s safe to say it won’t get in your way. LED lights will save energy while providing ample light for your workspace.

Totem by Estudio Persona

So, don’t fret, this isn’t some silly art object with no use other than aesthetics. Yes, it is a totem, but you get actually get a suite of functional objects that can be stacked to form a “singular minimal structure.” Two stools and a tray rest upon a concrete base, creating a tall stack that takes up very little floor space. Disassemble and arrange the components to fit your needs.

Do you use paper bags for recycling? If so, you’ll probably like the RE.BIN. It’s made entirely of 100% recycled plastic and works as a container for standard paper grocery bags. RE.BIN keeps the bag in place and cleans up its appearance, which makes your recycling station that much more aesthetically appealing.

NJP Lamp

The NJP is a new interpretation of the classic architect’s lamp. Meant for optimal flexibility for a work area, the lamp provides glare-free light precisely where you want it. It’s easy to adjust thanks to the two arm joints, and the shade has a rear opening for LED unit ventilation. Choose between the Wall (short or long), Table, or Floor versions.

Smart Blur Storage Box

These steel storage boxes with matte glass lids are just the thing for those odds and ends without a home. The blurry glass tops disguise the contents just enough to hide any chaos, while the subtle hues on the inside padded surface show through and provide a soft landing pad for hard things.

Cottage Stools

How in the world has it taken so long for the Cottage Stools to hit our radar? The flat, rectangular tops plus the lovely joinery on the legs (see the tiny brass screws?) hit the right spot for everyday dining, or maybe even use the low stool as a side table in the living area or bedroom.
