I went to a Montessori school when I was growing up and I remember loving the pink tower and the way the wood sounded as the blocks clinked together on the shiny pink lacquer. I also remember how someone would always steal top block.

If you do have kids, the pink tower is used for introducing children to concepts of three dimensional size variance, weight differential and intricate stacking.

Whether you have kids or not, it’s a pretty cool looking sculptural object.

I know it’s probably way too late to get these for this holiday season, but, hey, if you buy them now you can save them for next year and be way ahead of the game. They’re awfully pretty.

So maybe this is still a little high for a lamp, even though it’s almost half off, but I think it’s different enough to warrant the extra cash. Plus, it’s imported, so that unfortunately affects the overall price.
