These look a little like they’ve just come off the mother ship, but I really like their angular lines.

This light uses it’s surroundings to dictate what color it will glow.
Believe it or not, this intriguing little device has the amazing, chameleon-like ability to change colors according to its environment. The way it works is sort of like a one-pixel camera; turn it on and three LED lights (in red, blue and green) detect the strength of reflected light, then matches and stores the external color source. For multi-colored surfaces, the average color is reflected. Sure, it does make a perfect tool for decorators and designers… but for something as cool as this, do you really even need to find a practical use?

This is a great piece from Ikea.
The doors have no knobs or handles, but open by applying light pressure.
2 smooth-running drawers with ball-bearing slides and pull-out stop.
4 adjustable shelves; adjust spacing according to your storage needs.
Adjustable feet keeps it stable on uneven surfaces.
2 stationary shelves for greater stability.

This innovative bed frame shape allows a quick transition between a single size bed, a full size bed or two beds. (Get it? Simple, Double or Doux). It’s very cool but it will set you back around $3,500.00 and it needs to be shipped from Switzerland.

Perfectly simple solar-powered calculator by Naoto Fukasawa.
No matter how complex your calculations may be, the Electric Calculator M was designed to make things a bit more simple. With easy to read numbers, a slightly elevated display section, and uniform color on both body and keys, any elements of complexity have been scaled back as much as possible. The idea of doing work has suddenly become a bit more attractive…

The Deja-Vu Chair by my favorite designer, Naoto Fukasawa, is on sale.
Made from mirror-polished aluminum with a contrasting oak wood back, this chair is a modern take on a traditional form and makes an attractive addition to a kitchen or dining area. It comes flat packed and is easy to assemble. Made by Magis.

These are great display pieces for dry botanicals.
On the edge. Conceptual box in expanse of wavy matte white stoneware has gallery presence. Helicopter view: asymmetrical opening in the top flows into a cool “V” dip at the rim. Dry botanicals only.
