Plateau Wall Box

These hand made white oak or black walnut wall storage boxes can be customized to customers specifications.

They are made with traditional construction techniques with mitered joints.

“The Plateau Boxes are designed to frame objects in a natural, unobtrusive environment. Because they are blindly fastened to the wall, the boxes โ€”and the objects they holdโ€” exhibit a unique lightness of form. Each box is independent unto itself, so users can apply their creativity to configure the boxes on a wall.

Available in black walnut or riftsawn white oak, with sliding door and shelf options. Custom size and proportions available upon request, please call for details.”

I went to the new CB2 opening in Manhattan the other day and was pleased to get to see this close up. It’s well constructed and generously proportioned.

Padded and upholstered head to toe (even the side rails) in pure white all-cotton canvas pre-treated with a protective stain-resistant finish… Benchmade in the USA with the same quality and attention to detail as our upholstered sofas. Kiln-dried hardwood and wood composite frame.”

Cabana Sectional

This is the perfect sectional- very clean lines and an unscary price tag (considering all modern sectionals seem to be about $2000 more than a regular person can afford). Pillows are sold separately, so if you’re not so fond of stripes, don’t worry.

“Clean uni-height backs/arms angle deep to comfort. Overscale pieces work small spaces solo, or lofts in combination…Classic textured cotton in go-with-everything putty, double-needle stitched at the seams. Barely there T-legs in solid aluminum.”

Jan Hoekstra Cookware

Given the 2003 Red Dot Design award, Jan Hoekstra’s Cookware Series is designed with some really cool features:

“Saucepan twists and locks in place so liquids can be safely poured from notches on either side. In addition to giving you the convenience of one-handed straining, the interior of this Saucepan has a convenient measuring gauge so you can see how much you’ve added or removed. The gauge is in metric, attesting to the collection’s European roots. For the cook with too little storage space (and who doesn’t?), Hoekstra’s Cookware is made to nest together for compact storage. Made with a heat-resistant coated exterior in a choice of three colors and stainless steel interior, this Saucepan is suitable for all types of heat sources, from gas to induction cook tops.”
