Doorbell ‘Bottoms Up’ by Peter van der Jagt

This might be my favorite thing ever in the entire world, or at least close to it.

“What we know as a doorbell is a square box that strangely enough says nothing about what a doorbell really is: an appliance consisting of an electromagnet, a hammer and two sound sources. In this design by Peter van der Jagt, crystal glasses make a crystal clear sound, announcing guests with a musical toast.”

Wooden Memory Sticks

These are quirky, and I mean that in a good way. They’re USB memory sticks, encased in sticks that you could basically find in the woods. I like the way they contrast so decidedly against the hardware. They’d certainly be a nice gift for someone who would appreciate the irony (they come in a nice gift box too)…

USB memory sticks are always nice to have around when transferring files from computer to computer. These sticks are made to stand out against its natural environment of computers and offices. The sticks are picked from the woods and are manually selected on their natural beauty,
professionally handmade into unique and personal USB memory sticks.

Sumo Bean Bags

It’s pretty amazing that bean-bag chairs have been elevated to this level of chic since they were first introduced in the 70’s. Unlike their predecessor, these futuristic bean-bags are made of stain-resistant, rip-proof nylon and filled with foam beads which result in a furniture piece that can be shaped and configured in multiple ways to meet your comfort needs. I like how it’s a simple, minimal looking piece of furniture that has versatile capabilities: the large size (5.5 x 4.5 feet) allows it to be laid flat for lounging or folded to make a chair.
