Picnic Tote Blanket

If you like picnics and have an extra $250 lying around, have I got the tote for you. Menu’s Picnic Tote Blanket starts off as a tote bag for your wine and snacks, but with a little unfolding, it becomes a soft blanket with a water-repellent layer underneath. Handy, huh? Take it to the park or beach this summer and relax in comfort.

Sitting Pretty Case

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a hard time finding a jewelry case for traveling. They’re either too bulky or lack the organization to keep earrings, rings, and necklaces secure. This case offers a slim size- it measures in at 6″ x 6″ x 1.5″- and has quite a few snaps, loops, and pockets that hold everything in place. No tangles and no scratches? Yes, please.

Alter Ego Frio

Clean water can be hard to come by in many parts of the world and, unfortunately, also in some places here in the United States. The Alter Ego Frio has filtration technology that provides the greatest reduction per contaminant. What does that mean? Well, it removes everything that’s harmful in your H2O so you only taste clean, contaminant-free water. That could be especially handy on camping trips, and maybe even on your daily commute.

Kime Shoe Horn

Do you sometimes need a shoe horn? You know, that thing that helps you put on your nice shoes without crushing their heels? If so, get this one, because it’s beautiful. Perfectly symmetrical and carved from a single piece of wood, the Kime Shoe Horn appears to be an art piece rather than a functional tool. Lucky for us, it’s both. “Kime” means texture or wood grain in Japanese and is the name of the collection.

FIXR Pocket Tool

The MacGyvers among us won’t be caught without a decent EDC kit, because you just never know when you may need more than a paperclip. The FIXR may not be the most streamlined, but when you’re in a jam, you’ll at least have a hell of a lot of tools to get you out of trouble. It packs 20 tools into one easy-to-hold and easy-to-attach little gadget.

How To Live Canvas Tote Bags

I’m a mind reader. I know you’re thinking that these canvas tote bags are sort of expensive, and they are… sort of. But, look close at the bottom seams and handles, and you’ll see a bag built for daily use. Each bag has a minimal, quiet vibe; edges are clean, devoid of stitching, to better highlight the material- that’s special.

DIY Pinhole Camera Kit

A DIY Pinhole Camera Kit? Yes, please. Did you know that Astronomer Gemma Frisus de Radio constructed the first pinhole camera to examine the solar eclipse of 1544? That was a long time ago, and to this day some photographers still prefer pinhole cameras to get a vintage, moody look for their shots. Maybe try it out by putting together this kit and taking some photos, you know, with actual film? It could be fun!

Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer

We can all agree that $400 is a lot of money to spend on a hair dryer. Not everyone is going to plonk down four big ones just for shinier, smoother hair that dries in half the time. Actually, if you have short hair, there’s really no reason to read any further. However, if you’ve got longer hair, well, here’s a personal review.

Block Shop Scarves

Block Shop’s rugs will get their due attention next week, but, first, let’s just admire their scarves, shall we? A mix of thin lines and shapes create patterns, all hand block printed by 5th generation master printers in Bagru, India, with natural dyes on a silk/cotton blend. I’ve got my eye on the Tent design, or maybe the Sidewinder. Which one is your favorite?
