Soundsticks II Speaker System

I’m such a sucker for pretty pictures of pretty things. This could be a salad spinner and I’d still say “ooo” and “ah” over it’s acrylic-y and silvery touches of stuff. It’s not a salad spinner, though, it’s a speaker system, so I think I’m justified (and not too much of a nerd) in talking of it’s beauty, as it will be a functional thing on display.

“This contemporary 40-watt, three-piece speaker system produces high-quality stereo sound for music, MP3s, movies, and games. Simple to install, it works with a variety of devices through the mini stereo jack connection. Includes two self-powered satellite speakers with adjustable bases and touch volume/mute control, and a powerful subwoofer with bass control. One-year warranty.”

Size: Subwoofer, 10.25h x 9″diam. Speakers, 10h x 3.5″diam.

Item on a slight backorder, so you’ll have to wait your turn.

Price: $170.00

sticks space divider

Talk about a creative space divider solution…this one takes the cake as far as I’m concerned. (Does anybody else think the picture’s kinda creepy though?)

“sticks is a conceptual space divider that allows you to be as creative as possible within an area. based on modules 23.6″ x 11.8″ and 19.7″ x 9.8″, the sticks can be used as a independently or as a grouping. use of fiberglass or wooden sticks allow color variations, while density permits different effects.”

Champagne Straws

I like how an act that would be considered gauche is elevated just by changing the material that is used to achieve that act. So, drinking champagne out of the bottle with straws–a little trashy. but if you’re using silver straws–se magnifique!

Purchase Information:

Price: $150.00
Availability: Buy Champagne Straws here

drop_3 light

Something different in the big bad world of lighting. Not that it’s really that “bad” or all that big, but you know what I mean. I think the drop design adds a bit of fun to a room setting.

Twist & Spout

I saw this a while ago in someone’s coverage of the Milan Housewares Fair, and I recently ran across it on a retail site where it’s available to purchase. It’s a great simple design that makes use of all those plastic bottles…

“Twist & Spout fits virtually any soda or water bottle with a screw-on cap. Use the Garden style to create an instant watering can. Use the Kitchen style to make those big two-liter soda bottles easy to handle…”

Garden spouts are available individually in blue and green or as a set containing
1 blue and 1 green. (6.5″ spout)

Kitchen spouts are available individually in pink and orange or as a set containing
1 pink and 1 orange. (3.5″ spout)

Rolling Bar Cart

This would be perfect for shuttling food and drink between the kitchen and dining room/livingroom and would function as a great little side table when not in use.

“Contemporary service for wining and dining pairs roomy wood-construction trays with a polished-nickel cart. Top tray lifts off. Chocolate (shown) or white trays.”
35″ x 18″ x 32.5″h.

Turned Resin Pillar Holders

If I was more of a candle person, I’d probably buy these pleasantly hefty candleholders. I’m quite fond of the high gloss finish (especially the white and black).

Price: $19.00

Ghost Clock

While this clock is on a slight backorder, I do believe it will be worth the wait. And, honestly, the price really isn’t all that bad either.

“A stunning interpretation of the traditional carriage clock, the Ghost Clock features ornate white etching and Roman numerals on the glass front, an intricate, visible chrome mechanism, and a reflective mirror backing. Its ample size makes it a prominent addition to a mantle or furnishing. Simple assembly required. Takes one AA battery (not included).”

Luzifer : Mini Mikado

Loveliness! If I had the money, I’d buy it without a second thought.

“Winner of the Design Plus Award. Two stamped wooden veneer sheets, mounted to a pattern which lends them torsion and dynamism, make up the shade of the Mikado lamp. The stamped wooden strips design in the air a shape charged with sensuality, as well as adding an overall lightness to the piece and creating interesting plays of light and shadow. The strips give the shade a volumetric richness that change according to the viewing angle. Mikado is also available in suspension and floor versions.”

Reconstructed wood veneer. Low energy. Bulb included.

27.5dia x 22h (inches)

birch wood tray side table

I really like this little table. And even though I’m not usually a big fan of birch wood, I think this table could use a coat of oil or wax and it would fit in nicely with some of your more sophisticated pieces. Another great thing about it is that the top lifts off for use as a tray.

15.5″diam x 22″h.
