Falkland Pendant Light- Spazia

I believe we posted this light over a year ago, but unfortunately I had not realized the actual scale, despite dimensions being readily available. It’s a whole lot of light (as shown in a better picture with a human form as comparison) for a decent price.

“Designed by Bruno Munari in 1964, this original custom design became a modern-day classic. The Falkland Pendant Lamp features a tubular metal frame and aluminum structure, with an elastic fabric shade, and operates on a single 100W (max) standard light bulb (not included).”

Sun Jar by Tobias Wong

I’ve been following the work of Tobias Wong for sometime now. His ever present sense of humor makes for some interesting design ideas…his collaboration with Ju$t Another Rich Kid brought us 24k gold plated Bic pen caps, and McDonalds coffee stirrers “for the man who has absolutely everything.”

I recently discovered the Sun Jar, which isn’t available just yet, but may be something you’ll want to pre-order. At a mere $38, this old-fashioned glass jar contains a solar panel LED light system that will store the days sunlight and illuminate your space at night. It reminds me of catching fireflys as a child. We would poke holes in mason jars and have a little lantern powered by mother nature, that is, of course, until my mother would make me release them.

’60 watt’ Votives by Walteria Living

Flickering candlelight in the form of a lightbulb. Pretty clever.

“votives in the form of large globe 60 watt light bulbs made out of thin cast white porcelain – allowing the small candle within to emit a warm, glowing light.
each votive comes with a votive holder, made to hold the object at an angle, allowing the threaded bulb base to act as both a handle and a vent.”

Includes 2 votives and 2 holders.

6”w x 5”d x 5″h : base – 3.5”d

Boris Dining Table

Round dining tables are ideal for so many reasons. They keep everyone on the same social playing field by eliminating the head and foot, and conversation is much easier. I particularly loved this table when I saw it, a nicely beveled edge helps define the top from the interesting base.

“The Boris Dining Table is both nostalgic and state-of-the-art. Its sentimental design pays homage to the definitive production standards and style of Charles and Ray Eames. But Boris’s unconventionally shaped legs give it a form that lies in a dimension somewhere between minimalistic and space-age, making it a great addition to any modern dining area, but a true centerpiece in any retro-inspired environment.”

47″ D, 28″ H

Luisa Side Table

This is a delightful little side table who’s inspiration came from a visit to grandma’s house. The table is constructed of two layers of hard acrylic with a thin layer of laser cut felt between.

“The inspiration for this design emerged during lunch at the home of Enrico Fratesi’s grandmother, Luisa. For Fratesi, the fact his grandmother’s furniture was covered in plastic was no surprise, since this method of keeping furniture clean was a practice he’d seen all his life. But for his partner, Stine Gam-Pedersen, a native of Denmark, the plastic covers were odd, unexpected and exactly the inspiration needed for their next design.”

Luisa can be used in multiples to create a coffee table, in either three of the same color or a mix.
