Wow. The wood on this piece has a great glow (the result of a rubbed finish sealed with a clear varnish).
“The LL2 Lounge Chair deconstructs the ubiquitous upholstered lounge chair to its skeletal essence. The chair becomes a cage-like enclosure, implying a solid form but exposing the colorful wool fabric cushions. Made of solid wood with glass inserts at the top and bottom of the armrests to provide functional horizontal surfaces.
MEBEL’s wood is sealed with a clear varnish, which creates a natural rubbed finish. Unlike sprayed glossy lacquer, their pieces do not have an assembly line look or feel. This process also creates a durable surface which is easy to maintain. There is no need to use polish, cleaning with a damp cloth is best. Metal used is fully welded stainless steel tubing with a brushed finish. The dimensions for the storage cutout are 4″ high, by 24″ wide and run from the front of the piece, through to the back.”
