I suppose this is meant for a nursery, ’cause that’s what it says on the site, but really I’m thinking it could be for any room that you need storage. The Lui table is constructed with traditional Chinese woodworking techniques without nails or screws. For those of you who don’t know, this means that the table will withstand imperceptible fluctuations in temperature and humidity because all the joints will expand and contract together. (As opposed to joinery using nails and screws, in which the wood expands and contracts and the metal remains constant, causing the joints to become compromised.)

I was just at a baby shower, so I have babies on the brain, but I thought that this is a nice modern alternative to the rocking chair.

I do believe this table is notable, especially for the colors it’s available in. It’s not often that you find a modern eye-catching dining table (that seats eight) that’s in dark olive, ivory, robin’s egg blue, or watermelon. Word is that BluDot will add desk accessories to this line later on, so keep that in mind too. Kinda fun, huh?
