Clip Bed by Patricia Urquiola

“This padded double bed has a unique design. The headboard continues the entire length of the bed to the footboard and folds back on itself to trace a highly original form resembling a paperclip. The headboard can adopt different inclinations. The bed can take all kinds of mattresses, with thicknesses varying from 6.5 cm to 17.5 cm, thanks to the adjustable support system. The fully removable covers can be chosen from a wide range of fabrics or leather. The proposal is completed with a side table, a lacquered structure.”

Sapporo Shelving, One High

It’s so nice to know there is modular furniture out there that can grow and change according to your needs. This system can be changed depending on how high or tall or wide you’d like it, simply by adding or taking away an individual unit. The photo shown here is one unit with a steel base (the doors are sold separately), but you could afford to buy this now as a tv stand (for example) and then add on later to make a bookcase. The back is completely finished as well, so you could also use it as a room divider if you went with buying a taller unit.

“The Sapporo Shelving System by Jesús Gasca combines the elegant minimalism of Japanese design with SpainÂ’s technically refined modernism to produce a system of case goods that meets a multiplicity of needs in a gracious and flexible format…”

“the tokyo pop armchair, constructed from polyethylene, was designed by tokujin yoshioka for driade and is part of yoshioka’s most famous series. his creations, easy to understand at first sight, hide cross-meanings and imply a deep mental involvement while translating the original poetic intuition into a concrete ready to use piece. the armchair is available in orange, light orange, green-grey, or white sand… suitable for indoor or outdoor use.”

Uffizi Bunk Bed

Holy cow. This is the craziest/coolest bunk bed. It’s also possibly the most expensive one as well, but that is beside the point since it would no doubt imbue young children with excellent design sense.

“Designed by the artisan duo Jenny Argie and Andrew Thornton, the Uffizi can be considered as an architectural work given the interesting spaces it provides. Kids will love the cantilevers, semi-enclosed lower bunk, and window like openings. You may select different finishes for different parts of the bed giving you the opportunity to suit your own style.”

Made from sustainable hard wood and birch ply. All finishes are 100% nontoxic.
