Roger Arquer built a better mouse-trap.
“Mouse in a Pint is a beer glass upside down. It has a bread stick attached to a spring, tilting the glass so the mouse can get in. Once the breadstick is being nibbled, it breaks and the glass collapses, keeping the mouse inside. Box contains Pint Glass, spring and bread sticks.”

We saw these at ICFF at the Pure Austrian Design booth last year and it looks like they finally hit the market. It’s basically a large pattern made of Tyvek (the super strong material used in FedEx packaging) which allows you to cut out a pattern (with 10 to choose from on the same sheet) and make your own bag.
“Detailed instructions allow the user to turn one of them from a 2D graphic into a 3D accessoire. All you need is a pair of scissors, a sewing-machine and a sheet of Sac à faire.
It’s a product, which involves the user in the process of production, allows him/her to build up a relationship to the object and to be proud of the result.”

This would be a delightful way to add some energy and movement to a blank space in a room.
Each bird is 6″ long, with a 4″ wingspan, and comes with a 15.5″ satin ribbon. (When the ribbon is doubled up, the bird hangs at a distance of about 7″.)

I think we’re all pretty sick of the whole celebrity fascination (right?) but I do like the idea of the embroidery of a photograph.

This pleece scarf (pleated fleece) scarf is perfect because it takes the warmth of fleece, not traditionally a great design material, and makes it more structured with the use of pleats.
“The items in the soft, warm Pleece Collection, designed by Marianne Abelsson, are made for use indoors and out. The collection includes hats, scarves, ponchos, and hoods, as well as pillows and throws in a lovely, pleated fleece fabric.”

This bench is pretty stunningly simple and beautiful. It can be used as a coffee table, bench, and also at the foot of the bed. The edges are crisp and thin while it gains strength towards the center of the bench with a slight elliptical shape.

I love this chair. It’s two identical pieces of wood which can be assembled to form a chair, and can be disassembled to be put away. The notches can be used to hang the chairs on the wall if you like.
Certified Canadian maple, zero formaldehyde emission glue, water-base clear coat finish.

Porcelain egg with coin slot. The only way to get your money out is to break the egg. Ironically, the egg costs more than it will likely hold, unless you fold up bills and stick them in there.
