So, all this week you’ll be seeing bits and pieces of things we saw at the ICFF that we thought were worth mentioning, and I think it fitting that this table is among the first of the posts. I do believe it might be my favorite thing, or at least among the top five. Small plastic inserts drop into the table to form little landscapes that are interchangable. Plants are shown, but think of all the other possibilities…

This sofa fits the bill: sturdy construction, slimline arms, tufted seat and great lines.

Good fences make good neighbors, they say. And good chairs too, I suspect.

If you’re growing tired of rubber fire-hydrants and silly pet toys, then maybe your dog is too. Besides, everybody needs a little luck and harmony…

Now here’s what I’m talking about. This is exactly the kind of sofa I’ve been looking for. It’s got great lines, blind-tufting and would be great for lounging.

It’s pretty amazing that bean-bag chairs have been elevated to this level of chic since they were first introduced in the 70’s. Unlike their predecessor, these futuristic bean-bags are made of stain-resistant, rip-proof nylon and filled with foam beads which result in a furniture piece that can be shaped and configured in multiple ways to meet your comfort needs. I like how it’s a simple, minimal looking piece of furniture that has versatile capabilities: the large size (5.5 x 4.5 feet) allows it to be laid flat for lounging or folded to make a chair.

This is a pretty smart design, and it would certainly impress your guests…Imagine pulling it out of the closet, setting it down, adjusting, and then saying, “Ta-da!”. I think I wouldn’t mind it as an everyday bed either, as it has a casual/edgy look about it.

The Aha Stool (seen peeking from behind the case study bed) was designed by Philippe Starck and is now very much within financial reach for most of us). The great thing about this stool is that you can use it for seating, table or storage, and it can be used both indoor or out.

This is pricey but I love it! It’s referred to as a “system” because the four elements can be moved around in numerous ways to create different seating arrangements.

And for those of you wondering, yes, the backrest cushions have non-slip pads to keep them in place.

I know most people are crazy for Mr. Jonathan Adler, but somehow I didn’t get hit with the adoration bat when it comes to most of Mr. Adler’s designs. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s all good stuff, it’s just that nothing has struck me as an ‘i have to have it’ type thing. And then I see this, and somehow I finally got hit in the ‘noggin, if that’s the saying. This chair is so “sweet” it’s cute, and while I appreciate it for the irony (maybe?), I’m sure loads of people love it just ’cause it’s Adler.

Jonathan Adler has been blowing up lately, evidenced here in his ubiquitous lantern design linens being sold at Big Box retailer Bed Bath and Beyond. I like these sheets and they’re not too pricey.
