Show off those stems with either (or both) of these vases. Solid concrete paired with a wire frame makes the ideal receptacle for an interesting display of botanics. Magnets within the base keep the white frame stable, which makes eventual cleanup quick and easy.

Hide and Park

Oh, looky what we have here: a coatrack with hidden hooks and a hidden ledge for storing away all sorts of miscellany. The best part is when you’re not using it, there’s no extraneous details to catch your eye- it’s sleek and shows off the material of the wood. Chances are you’ll utilize most, if not all, of the hooks underneath this season, but it’s nice to know when you’re not weighed down with scarves, mittens and hats, you’ll have a visually clean coatrack/shelf to catch and store other sundries as they crop up.

Life is Fantastic Tea Towel X David Shrigley

Isn’t it though? This tea towel features an image by Scottish artist David Shrigley, and will perhaps remind you to appreciate where you are in life every time you dry your hands or dishes. Or, hey, you could even frame the thing as art, if you so desire. And, if you’re not thinking your life is particularly fantastic, maybe now is a good time to assess what would make it so, considering the new year is just around the corner.

Dandelight by Studio Drift

This is another wonderful sort of object we featured years ago (2008) and now deserves an update. Lonneke Gordijn of Studio Drift first started gluing dandelion seeds to LEDs a decade ago, and I think it’s now safe to say that the Dandelight is now somewhat of a design classic, made all the more certain by the MoMA Store offering it up for sale. Plus, right now, MoMA is offering free shipping and guaranteed holiday delivery(!).

True Colors Vase Collection

So pretty… any one of these vases will get you out of a pinch when it comes to selecting a gift. Cats Let Nothing Darken Their Roar 2016

Yes, the 2016 Cats Let Nothing Darken Their Roar Calendar is sold out at its home website, and that’s very sad for those of us that planned to buy it for the new year. However, happy news, the Cooper Hewitt Shop has it available for your planning pleasure. Thank goodness, as we’ve posted it several years in the running, so it’d feel wrong not to continue the tradition.
