Dusen Dusen Towels

Yes, we’ve featured Dusen Dusen Towels before, but patterns and colors change, don’t you know, so here’s a fresh stack for your bathroom (and swimsuit). There’s several colors/patterns on Dusen Dusen’s site, and DWR has a set of their beach towels as well. All patterns are two tone reversible (jacquard weave), so you’ll have a double whammy of fun.

Moroccan Beach Towel by John Elliott

Is it too late to feature a beach towel? The answer is yes, but who cares, especially as you could throw it over your shoulders as an extra layer, as the designer chose to style it in his spring collection. Or, you could just admire the pattern, and save it for your next escape to the pool/beach/island.

Round Moon Phases Beach Towel

Did you see the eclipse yesterday? That event is the only reason why a round, fringed beach towel is featured today. You’ll most likely never see the likes of it again*; let’s hope that’s not the case of other notable astronomical events.

Archway and Steps Beach Towel

Not everyone wants to spend $175 on a beach towel, but if you’re exceptionally picky, you just might like the simple motifs on these 100% Irish linen towels. Did you know linen is very absorbent and durable? And that it’s lint-free and gets softer the more you use it? Do you feel a little bit better about the price point now?

Onsen Bath Towels

Do you have slightly musty bath towels? Uh-oh, that means bacteria is growing. Yuck. Don’t worry though, Onsen towels are to the rescue. They have a waffle weave design that is “effortlessly absorbent” and very quick to dry. Made of 100% premium cotton, they are soft and strong, yet surprisingly lightweight. Tempted to refresh your towel collection? Me too.

Snowe Bath Towels

If you need to refresh your bath towels, you need to look at Snowe’s offerings. I ended up buying their Starter Bathe Bundle last year* and I can honestly say they’re the nicest towels I’ve ever owned. They’re soft and lightweight, and soo much better than the top-of-the-line towels I used to buy from you know where. I am still impressed with the quality, so much so that I ended up buying another towel bundle (plus two bath sheets) from them just now**.

Cayo Beach Towel

Geez, another modern beach towel? We’re up to our eyeballs here with all the choices, and this one is very tempting price-wise. I guess it doesn’t hurt to have a stack of them ready to go whenever the mood strikes- it is summer, after all. Take note of this tidbit so you can sound smart when you get compliments: this towel is designed by Dee Clements- she was inspired by architectural stained glass from the Arts and Crafts movement.

Zuzunaga’s Beach Towel Collection

An old, fraying beach towel doesn’t help you look any better, so why not upgrade to one of these smack-you-in-the-face-with-pattern towels by Cristian Zuzunaga? The upside is if you don’t have a spectacular (according to the media) body, the towel will grab people’s attention first (as in, ‘Ooo, who’s that fascinating person with that beach towel?’) and, if you do have a spectacular (according to the media) body, you’ll look like you have good taste (‘Ooo, who’s that hottie with that cool beach towel?’). You get the idea.

Linen Towels

There are hundreds of things I could post right now instead of these Linen Towels designed by Fredericks & Mae, but I care about you, your comfort, and your general appearance when you’re at the beach or poolside this Fourth of July weekend.

Now, you can show up with that old beach towel that has sat in the closet since high school, and, hey, maybe you’ll even look cool with your ‘vintage’ towel. However, after you’ve used it once to mop up the salt or chlorine water, you’d best not trust too much in its ability to dry you off a second or third time.

These 100% Irish linen towels are different. Sure, they look pretty amazing with their color stripes, and yes, linen is exceptionally cool and fresh in hot weather, but did you know linen holds around 20 times its weight in water and dries much faster than a normal terry cloth towel? No? Well, you do now. Plus, their size is large enough to double as a decent blanket or wall hanging; you can’t say that for your existing beach/pool towel, now, can you?

Hay Pool Towels

You guessed it, Scholten and Baijings are back again, this time with towels to make sure your design sensibility is not offended while you’re poolside. After all, you wouldn’t want to be caught lounging/swimming without a fun, color blocked, 100% cotton towel made by one of our favorite dynamic duos, would you? No? I didn’t think so.
