The Fold Wallet by Leffot

I love the simplicity of this leather wallet by Leffot. It’s a single piece of “horse ass leather” folded three times to secure your cash. That’s it, no fancy gimmicks. Some of the colors are back ordered, but expected back in stock mid December. See Leffot Blog for more details.

SIWA Briefcase

How long have you been waiting for the SIWA (pronounced shiwa) collection by Naoto Fukasawa to hit the stores? It feels like forever, doesn’t it? The briefcase stands out the most to me, but only because I need/want one and I’m partial to the details. I’ll do a separate post on the pouches.

Brenthaven Enclave 5-in-1 iPad Case

The Enclave iPad case from Brenthaven won’t turn too many heads on looks alone, (plasticky brown and black shouldn’t be the first thing you want to wrap your sleek iPad in), luckily it makes up for it in function. Besides the basic duties of protecting your iPad, the Enclave functions as a viewing and typing stand, and features a secure grip for to protect against a accidental drop. An included strap allows you to hang it from the back of a car seat, or perhaps on the bus too if the person in front of you doesn’t mind. If you’ve got a minute to spare, check out this video which best explains the features of the case.

Hex Watch Band for iPod Nano

If you’ve got the newest iPod Nano (Gen 6), you know it’s pretty slick and über tiny. So tiny that it would be more at home, say, on your wrist than in your pocket. Enter in the Hex Watch Band, a silicone strap that allows you to pop-in and pop-out your iPod as you wish. Could be a good gift this holiday season perhaps?

Leather Writing Case

If you still prefer the pen/pencil writing method rather than the clickity clack of keyboard strokes, take a look at this beauty. The case is crafted from Bavarian cowhide and comes complete with a lovely assortment of writing tools (see below) that will no doubt add ceremony and purpose to your works. Also, if you already have your own tools, the case is available on its own without contents for £51. Could be a great gift for a writer friend or family member maybe. (Also, can I just say how many wonderful things Manufactum carries? I get lost on their site every time, adding loads of things to my shopping basket only to remind myself that I shouldn’t spend £300 on office supplies and miscellaneous brushes.)

Newspaper for Rain Bag

Right now it’s raining here in London (cold, windy, etc.) and on the streets just below my window I’ve seen two people so far that are trying to keep soggy newspapers above their heads in hopes of keeping some part of themselves dry. More than several are without any protection whatsoever, and the elements have soaked them through and through. Now, silly them, if only they had something like this handy bag here, they’d be better off for sure.

So, yes, it’s a bag that looks like a newspaper and unfolds as a newspaper would when you’re caught in the rain. Reminds me of the Newspaper print laptop bag by mitemite that I posted a while back (and bought). Just one thing to note, though, there’s no zippers on the tops of the compartments, so if you do hold the bag above your head, watch out that you don’t spill your contents all over the sidewalk.

OMHU Cane

Not that I know much about canes, but these appear to be the best looking ones that I’ve ever seen. Omhu is a newish company aiming to provide well designed objects for those that need help with simple tasks such as walking, bathing, or reaching overhead. Omhu (om-who) is Danish for “with great care”, and the company takes their inspiration from Scandinavian furniture, bicycles and skateboards. The cane you see here is made from a light weight birch laminate with an aluminum shaft and is finished with your choice of six bright colors of American bicycle paint.

Available in three sizes 31″, 34″, 37″ and six colors: purple, green, orange, black, cream, and light blue.

Canvas Zipper Bags

Can you ever have enough canvas bags to hold all your odds and ends? I’m certainly not sure, especially after seeing these three zippered bags from the Museum of Useful Things. The set of three costs just under 20$, and pretty much anything that motivates a good organization of the workspace is worth that much.

Clothes Pin Bag : 10″ long x 5″ wide.
