Lapel Pin, Art

Just in case you wish to poke fun at art and artists, this enamel pin is for you. At 1.5″ across, it should fit onto your jacket/bag/shirt just fine, and I’d be surprised if you don’t get a few knowing nods whenever you take it out for a spin. Should you wish to hang the same message on your wall, there’s also a Art Print: Art, signed and embossed. Note: the Art Print is no longer available. Sad face.

Cinqpoints Badges

Less is more. Form follows function. Shout your beliefs from the rooftops or maybe just quietly wear a badge so those with similar tastes will know they’re not alone. Maybe you’ll even make a few more friends that believe in the Bauhaus or modern architecture. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Macon and Lesquoy Pins (new)

Even if you’re not the type to pin a pin onto your hat/bag/shirt, these pins by Macon and Lesquoy will tempt you to change your ways. Yes, we’ve featured them before, but there’s a new batch out, and, come on, how could I resist not sharing a Radish, Pipe and Smoke, and Bicycle pin? Or an Apple, Crab, and Peapod pin? Do you not have an urge to pick a few and group them together artfully on a canvas tote? I have a curious urge to find a jean jacket* just so I can have a designated spot for a few favorites.

Pins by Macon and Lesquoy

As you might have noticed, gift guides are popping up all over the place. We’ll have some wishlists/gift guides just like last year in the upcoming weeks, but until then, keep these pins by Macon and Lesquoy on your radar. They’re intended purely for fun, and, as they’re quite small (~1″- 2″), could be easily worn on shirts, jackets, and bags. Perfect for co-workers, friends, etc.

Feather Pins

I do believe the adjective ‘jaunty’ would apply to these feather pins.

The traditional gamsbart, which is what this pin is based on, is typically worn on the hat of hunters in the Alpine region of Europe. In theory, the size of the gamsbart reflects one’s manliness. Franz Blumtritt and Sons was established in 1923 and the founder’s granddaughter Regina Erb now runs the company. Grandfather Blumtritt started by following traditional patterns from the Alps; time passed, and in the ’50s one of his sons took some creative license and developed the collection they have today. The pieces are made in the workshop building adjacent to their home in the Black Forest. Ms. Erb works with a team of women, as she says women have the natural touch for the delicate work…

‘Just My Luck!’ Pin

I’m kind of liking this pin. Perhaps it would cheer up some passers-by on your daily commute to work?

“This is how an unfortunate moment becomes a fun accessory. A two part pin made from gold matt finish acrylic that will surely make passers by smile. Just smile back.”

hand grenade pin

You’re sure to make a statment with this little accessory. If you’re fond of the look, I suggest checking out Arthur Hash (the designer)- he has quite a few other interesting jewelry-like items.

Ballistic Rose Pin

Mark my words, black is back. It went away for awhile, but it’s coming back for Fall. Especially for accessories. You know, the basics: shiny bracelets, big chunky necklaces, bulletproof rose pins, etc.

“The young New York artist/designer turns a delicate accent into a modern metaphor on love and safety. Made of black heavy-duty ballistic nylon, Wong’s “bulletproof” bloom is both a high-tech talisman for the tender-hearted and wry fashion statement.”
