Three Bag

OMG, you’re thinking, another bag by Konstantin Grcic? Yep, and this one is the last from his designs for Maharam from 2013, so you can rest easy knowing that there are only the three bags in total (that we know of). Of course, this particular bag, called the Three, has two sizes, so you could count four different bags in total from Grcic to choose from… sound complicated? It’ll be clear when you look at the full collection of bags over at Maharam’s website. (The Scamp Bag from Jasper Morrison is something to consider as well, don’t you think?)

earHero Earphone Kit

These headphones slide under the radar as far as design aesthetic, and that’s okay, as they win top marks for safety. EarHero headphones lets you listen to your music or phone conversation without blocking ambient noise. Ambient noise just like trucks, cars, and bicycles, all of which could flatten you like a pancake if you’re deaf to warning sounds.

Proper Audio PA1 Bluetooth Speaker

What? There’s an amazingly minimal bluetooth speaker on Kickstarter and I’m not going to show it to you? Puh-lease. You can at least count on me for that every once in a while. The PA1 is a wired Bluetooth speaker with a smart mount that allows you to move it around easily.

The very word ‘wired’ might upset you, but do know that portable battery speakers sacrifice some amount of quality, and the PA1 designers wanted to run more power to larger drivers, which means fuller, well balanced audio. Take a look at the video below for more info, or visit StudioProper’s Kickstarter page to back the project.

Oh, those pesky cords, sometimes you just want to throw them in the garbage bin. Well, now you can, except it’s not garbage bin, but a CableBin. Huh? It’s the CableBin, a cylindrical bin that’s meant to be home to all your cable clutter underneath your desk. Cables and hubs may be attached to the sidewalls via adhesive components, allowing all the blinking mess to be tidied away. The top tray/lid has cable access so you can easily charge your devices. Tube Bag

Another Grcic bag? Aren’t we lucky. Just as the Frame Bag was made of polyurethane and nylon, this satchel’s thin, lightweight construction also takes advantage of the materials’ strength to create room for a laptop and other small essentials without extra bulk. A zip closure keeps the large compartment secure while Velcro does the job for the medium/side pocket.

Radio Dock

Finally, the Radio Dock by Jonas Damon is available. Nostalgic styling provides a spot for your iPhone to rest while charging on your desk, countertop or nightstand. And, see that radio graphic on the phone? That’s the Public Radio App, which finds up to seven public radio stations within a 50-mile radius. Frame Bag

Anytime the name of Konstantin Grcic is mentioned, I sit up and take notice. So, yeah, it’s not a surprise that your eyes are landing on this Frame Bag he designed for Maharam. Intended as an exercise for unrestricted expression, Maharam asked a few designers to create a bag suited to their personal needs. Mr. Grcic answered with this carryall that displays its architecture on its exterior; the PVC webbing creates a strong frame while the inner nylon skin is lightweight and soft to the touch.
