Measurement Keyholder by IROSE

Thank goodness, now there’s no need to take a tape measure everywhere you go because you’ll have this handy Measurement Keyholder by IROSE. The snappable loop is ideal for attaching your keys to a bag’s strap or belt loop, in case you’ve your hands full or just to make them easier to find, but it also gives you a more precise measuring tool than your palm or smartphone.

Building Block Leather Sleeves

I’ve got a nose like a bloodhound when it comes to minimal, expensive things, so it really shouldn’t surprise you that this leather 13″ MacBook sleeve is lodged firmly in the mid-$300 price range*. A smooth black exterior with a nude leather interior hits the right note of functional luxury without any extraneous details to get in the way of your daily work routine (or your excellent appearance). There’s the 11″ size as well as the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini Sleeve, so there’s something to suit each of your devices.

Herman Big Bag

Okay, raise your hand if you use or have used Ikea’s large, blue shopping bag around your home or for other errands. Don’t worry, you won’t be ostracized, as I’m guilty of the same. It just goes to show that really large totes can be extremely useful. Ferm Living’s Herman Big Bag slides in as an alternative option, as it measures in at 26″ long with a 15″ and 13″ height and width. Heavy cotton canvas with leather handles is durable enough for all manner of toting to and fro and looks quite a bit nicer than plastic… though it does cost quite a bit more as well. It would be well suited for a weekend getaway bag, don’t you think?

que Collapsible Travel Bottle

A collapsible travel bottle? Yes, please. The que Bottle has a smart spiral design that shrinks into half of its size for easy transport. It’s made of BPA-free food-grade silicone (completely plastic-free) that keeps it lightweight, dishwasher safe, and taste and odor free. A 100% kitchen-grade stainless steel lid tops things off with a secure air-seal that prevents spills and leaks. Fill it up, hydrate throughout the day, and then scrunch it down to a smaller size to throw in your bag. No more empty, bulky bottles rattling around. What else? You have your pick of two sizes: high-capacity 20 fl oz for everyday use and a smaller 12 fl oz bottle.

Twin Tote

Nice briefcases and fancy handbags are all fine and good, but sometimes you just need an inexpensive tote, preferably with a few pockets. This tote from Poketo is divided into two roomy compartments with a smaller middle pocket for your keys, phone, and wallet. The two larger compartments are especially handy for gym days, as you can keep your work clothes separate from your workout gear, or your water bottle away from your tablet.

Lapel Pin, Art

Just in case you wish to poke fun at art and artists, this enamel pin is for you. At 1.5″ across, it should fit onto your jacket/bag/shirt just fine, and I’d be surprised if you don’t get a few knowing nods whenever you take it out for a spin. Should you wish to hang the same message on your wall, there’s also a Art Print: Art, signed and embossed.

X-Cap Light Up Hat

Headlight plus hat? Sign me up, because who knows what outdoor exploring we’ll be up to when the winter evenings are here? The removable head lamp clips into and out of the beanie so you can charge (via USB) the 120-lumen light. I’d say this is an improvement over single strap headlamps, as the beanie is less likely to slip off the ol’ noggin, don’t you think?

Pumice Stones

Umm, how odd and sort of wonderful are these Pumice Stones from Fredericks and Mae? Let’s just appreciate how combining two tools in one is clever, and also how this combination makes it more sculptural and special. Use one to help clean, shave, exfoliate, etc., and note how one would look perfectly at home left out on a ledge or countertop (artfully arranged with your other things, of course).

The Lomo’Instant Automat Camera

In the days of digital everything, it’s pretty fun to mess around with instant cameras, don’t you think? Lomography has a new Instant Automat Camera over on Kickstarter and it packs all the punches you’d want. Auto adjustment on shutter speed, aperture, and flash output means you can take cool shots quick and easy. There’s a few creative features for a little more photo magic. Of course, seeing your images develop right before your eyes is the best part- a printed photo is sooo much better than a digital one buried in your photo stream, right? Back the project over at Kickstarter, or visit Lomography.

Pivot Koostik Passive Amplifier

I know, I know, a block of wood with some strange carvings won’t make much sense until you pair the title with the picture. It’s the Pivot Koostik Passive Amplifier, and it does just what it says- it passively amplifies sound on your iPhone. Two channels allow you to set your phone in either landscape or portrait mode, and you can customize the face. Might be a fun gift to give, right?

Why do you need a walnut, puck-shaped thingamajig? Well, it’ll keep your charging cords and cables it place, so you can avoid crawling around on your hands and knees behind/beside your desk/sofa/bed every time one slips away. Remove the magnetic base, snake cables through the channel, pop the base back on, flip it over, and all your cords are tidy and secure.
