Beanbags normally have negative associations, but these are too good of a price to rule out just because you had one when you were a kid.

Not such a bad price for an indoor/outdoor chair- I especially like the block-like angles.
“Inspired by the aesthetic of comics from the 1940s, Philippe Starck’s Toy Armchair (1999) strikes a balance between work and play, sophistication and childlike fantasy. Molded of a single piece of polypropylene, the Armchair is suitable indoors or out, for dining and lounge areas. Stackable up to 14 high for convenient storage, the Toy Armchair has a drainage hole to avoid seat puddles in rainy weather. Made in Italy.”
Green, Orange, or White.
Polypropylene.

If you’ve got a lot of time on your hands, you might consider taking up a hobby, let’s say something like covering a chair with tiny pieces of a map. Or, if you don’t have the time you could of course buy this one. It’s slightly pricey, but considering that someone did this by hand, and that you’re paying for convenience, it’s not as bad as it could be.
“The chair shown here is hand covered in a vintage edition map of the east London area. The map is cut into small squares using the printed grid lines & then joined back together with the Thames river flowing across the seat & then across the back of the chair. This particular chair is in stock & ready to ship but is also available made to order with an location map you wish. It is fully glazed in a durable, wipe clean, child safe lacquer.”

This has got to be the best deal around on a sofa. Now mind you, the price is so low, you may want to investigate the upholstery by asking for a swatch. But, if you’re on a tight budget and need something to sit on for a small space, this may be just what you’re looking for.

Man, this chair costs a pretty penny, but there’s something very nice about the simplicity of materials and form.
“The Hida Tevere Chair provides comfortable seating in a design that transforms natural material into a sturdy, contemporary form. The Tevere Chair features Sugi wood, a tree native to Japan that provides a lightweight, but strong, construction material.”

Obviously this is really close to the Daybed designed by Mies Van Der Rohe, however it’s not a copy because the head pillow is slightly different, which is why it gets away with just being called “inspired” by Mies. I’m mostly posting it because I was really impressed by the low price tag.

Here’s a nice little economical sofa that can be converted to a twin size bed. The conversion isn’t done quickly as the back support needs to be unscrewed, but it is a dual function piece none the less.

Check out the subtle crook of the legs and the way the leather wraps around the frame- it’s little details like those that make me understand the price tag. Plus, I like how it looks hefty.

This Sawbuck chair displays typical Wegner style. A surefire classic.
“A sculpture you’ll enjoy every day, the Sawbuck chair emboides the best of Danish Modern design- in fact, an early version of this chair sits in The Danish Arts and Industry Museum. Designed by Hans Wegner in 1951, this special edition in created exclusively for [Room & Board] by Carl Hansen & Son, the original manufacturer of the Sawbuck. Handcrafted from walnut and oak, each chair is made according to Wegner’s designs and specifications.”
