The black and white abstract print of this bedding by DwellStudio is a perfect counterpoint to a strong accent color, either on a room’s walls or as a bold border on sheets.
Designed for comfort, but beautiful enough to hang on the wall: DwellStudio’s Abstractions collection draws inspiration from the world of modern art. Abstract motifs, simple lines, and bold colors predominate on styles that will appeal to the most discerning palates.

These stones by Ronel Jordaan seem to be quite a bit larger than the Felt Rocks by Molo, and they would be excellent cushions to add here and there around a living space. (I’ve listed links for two different retailers; whoever had the lower price got the link for that particular item.)
Socially conscious as well as gifted, Jordaan has set up a women’s workshop in Gauteng- Johannesburg-where her personally trained artisans transform interlocking fibers, made from 100% merino wool, into these freeform oversized “stone” floor cushions…Soft yet buoyant, the veined, smooth textured cushions can be arranged to support seat and back. Hand washable in cold water.

I’ve been doing some pillow shopping for my living room (been on a sans-pillow kick for a while) and want to mix things up with a colorful pattern. It’s been tough finding something that feels like it’ll work, especially since I always tend towards safe solids…just in case you’re in the same boat, here’s some of the ones I found yesterday that seem sort of interesting.

I heart this embroidered pillow- for the script on front, yes, and also for the embroidery on the back (click on link to see detail).
Our over-sized Fair & Square pillow is an embroidered cushion in Chinese hemp. The cushion’s deco-design was developed by FairTrade Designers with inspiration from traditional ethnic chinese embroidery and Danish embroidered tradition with the ‘Home Sweet Home’ cushion, which carries a message that signals personal values.
Available in collegiate lettering or script.
The back side of each pillow is brightly embroidered with the name & hand print of the person who made it.

The pillow on the left reminded me of the Google News Cushion, but the font and words are completely different, so fair play…all that being said, it’s a heck of a lot more affordable.

Show your love for cats or dogs (or both) with these quirky pillows from k studio.
Great design, green materials, and social responsibility need not be at odds with one another. In fact, at k studio they think these ideas are inseparable. They started this company with just this idea in mind.
At Shelly and Mary Klein’s growing studio in Grand Rapids, Michigan, they manage each product from start to finish. They start with fabric made from some of the most sustainable materials available such as hemp, organic cotton, and recycled wool. K studio designs are generated in house and are then embroidered, assembled, packaged, and shipped by their skilled team.

Check it out- this duvet is printed to look like cardboard boxes, which might provoke mixed feelings but the intention seems entirely good.
The Home Duvet lets you sleep under a cardboard box so a homeless person doesn’t have to!
This high quality duvet cover features a photographic print of a cardboard box. This produces an extremely sharp image that stays flexible because the ink is printed directly in the cotton. The image will stay crisp after frequent washing.
The cotton has a thread count of 144 threads per square inch, so it’s soft to the touch virtually non-iron. The duvet cover is produced in Pakistan and child labour is not used.
30% of the gross profits go to Centrepoint, the UK charity for homeless young people aged 16-25 (charity number 292411). Every night Centrepoint provides support and housing for 800 vulnerable homeless young people
