Table Tap

Looking more like something out of a science lab than what you would use to serve your guests, this ‘Table Tap’ makes the ordinary ol’ water jug seem a bit dull.

Inspired by inventions and scientific research, this object’s basic function has been put into a new context. Table tap also reminds us of a perfume atomiser, though now it functions as a small water pump at the table. Pouring a simple glass of water really is a fascinating experience.

Modern-Twist Placemats

Modern-Twist has a great collection of modern placemats which you should definitely take a gander at if you haven’t already. My favorite, oddly enough, is the kid’s versions which are able to be drawn upon with washable markers. Brilliant idea.

Cedar Sake Vessel

I don’t make a practice of drinking sake, but this vessel by designer Shunji Kurimori might convince me to start.

Kurimori’s Cedar Sake Bottle is made using old cedar trees with a striking narrow grain, resulting in a bentwood low-conduction vessel that keeps cold sake cool, hot sake warm. Kurimori is a Master of Traditional Craft, recognized by the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. Pair the Cedar Sake Bottle with the Cedar Sake Cups (sold separately) to practice a third Japanese tradition: sharing sake and conversation with friends.

Square Sake Cups

I like the idea of using these as tiny planters for succulents (as suggested). Take note of the size; they’re pretty tiny.

Square sake cups aren’t just for squares or sake for that matter. These delicate porcelain cups are designed for sake, but think how cute they would be with little succulents in them lined up on the windowsill.
White porcelain, so fine you can almost see through it, makes sipping sake sublime.

Set of six mostly square cups.
Each cup measures approximately 1.5″ x 1.5″.

It’s Pop It’s Art Mugs

Suck UK has done a very fun collaboration with It’s Pop It’s Art in creating mugs decorated with lyrics from a range of classic songs. I could only find one place to purchase them so far, but will add others as the list grows.

Feeling a bit metal? Then rock out with a mug of Motorhead coffee. Just had a hard day of freedom fighting? Then sup some tea from the Marvin Gaye mug. Or maybe you’ve just perfected your Bobby Gillespie hair, Primal Scream it is then. For whatever musical mood you’re in there is a lovingly designed mug to accompany it.

Stainless Steel Straws

Hmm, ‘drinking fun’? Not sure how much ‘fun’ these will add to your drinking, but they are kind of an interesting alternative to the plastic straw. I wonder how you’d clean them? Dishwasher? or maybe with those pipe cleaners in your craft drawer?

“Stainless steel is one of those rare, exceptionally functional and durable materials that manages to combine indestructibility with presentability…The stainless steel drinking straws come in a set of 4. These straws do not rust or tarnish and provide years of drinking fun.” –after5catalog

Lotus Teacup

This is one high-tech teacup for those of you that are serious about tea. Follow the link to read more.

It looks like every traditional teacup should, but for starters it’s double walled, so a) you won’t burn your hands and b) your tea won’t cool off as fast. Secondly its sliding lid is a beautiful piece of high tech, as it is truly integrated into the lid and all you do is you slide a separate piece up and you are ready to enjoy your tea.

Write-on Glassware

Why not carry around your to-do list on a glass or mug? Seems like you’d have to write on these glasses while empty, maybe while you’re waiting for your coffee to brew, otherwise the awkward angle of writing on it without spilling a beverage would cancel out any convenience (not to mention it’d make you look a little idiotic).

Feed the cat, take out the trash, mow the lawn; there are so many things to
remember and now you can take your to-do list with you! Write on this glass
mug or tumbler then erase when you are done with each task. A mini pencil
with eraser is included.

Mug measures 3”x3.5” and tumbler measures 3”x6”

Coffee & Tea Mugs

State your preference with these mugs.

Some say coffee and tea should not be served in the same mug. Some folks only drink coffee and their partners only tea. However you want to use them, our mug set uses early 20th century type and complementary colors to create a salt and pepper type set. Comes inside an 11oz kraft box. Both mug and box designed by John Caserta. Mugs screened by Maslen, Inc. in Pawtucket. Boxes made for The Design Office by Custom Corrugated and screenprinted by Tarvis Graphics in Pawtucket.
This is a fundraiser project. All profits fund group projects and future products.
