If you have a small space, you need a few tricks up your sleeves to maximize every square foot. Count this Spacebox Wall Mounted Storage Table as a smart option for a small worktop. Use it for your laptop (or breakfast), and then when you’re done, fold the top down to free up extra floor space. The open-front compartments are ideal for displaying your favorite items and books, and will give a little personality to the otherwise blank white frame. Think of it for the kitchen, hallway, or kid’s room.

Pair this 3-part table to your Dowood Table Lamp and call it a day. Keep all parts together for a full 50%, or split them up to accommodate your guests’ drinks. Oh, and each table part is stackable if you’d rather save space than have the full spread. Available in yellow or white.

This dining table has a trick up its sleeve: it folds in half to use as a console, a bar, or a desk, thus giving you the versatility for multiple uses. Push it against a wall for console/bar/desk use, and when guests are over, simply pull it out, unfold it, and you have a proper dinner table.

There are quite a few minimal dining tables out there in the marketplace, some of them quite affordable, but not very many of them can claim remarkable craftsmanship in the way the top meets the base. If you look closely, you’ll see that the Noi Dining Table’s surface rests within its steel frame, giving an ultra-slim look and a very durable edge. And, not to worry if you want a specific size or color; Ohio Design offers a good selection of options.

How about adding some smoky, gray acrylic to your living room? This side table has a built-in slot to store books, magazines, and/or your tablet, and you can mix things up by using it upright (as shown above) or on its side (shown below). The subtle, reflective surface makes it a smart choice for a sleek accent piece.

These tables have that soft minimal look that’s often hard to find. The rounded wooden legs contrast nicely to the sharp edged plastic top, and you’ll also be happy to hear the legs are easy to assemble for transport or storage. Available in large or small, black or white.

Nice! This white powder coated steel table from SOBU is suitable for indoors or out. It obviously has a little Saarinen influence, but, happily, has a pretty affordable price tag. Also available in bronze (indoor only), where you’re able to see the textured/patterned top.

I’ve always been a fan of furniture with simple, clean lines, and so it’s no surprise that this Celine Desk caught my eye. One drawer hides away clutter and, on the right, an open cubby provides a nice spot for a stack of papers or folders. And, hey, 15% off (for a limited time, of course) makes this desk a little more ‘within reach’, if you know what I mean. The designer Nazanin Kamali was inspired by mid century architecture.

One drawer might not cut it if you tend to collect lots of stuff on your desk, but if you lean towards the ‘less is more’ approach, then this desk might just be a good fit. A thin, iron frame gives strength without taking up too much visual space and the depth is right at 19″, which means it could work as an entry console if you have the room.

Quick update on price for this table by Axel Bjurström; it increased ever so slightly from $295 to $330. However, thanks to one of the summer sales, greenergrassdesign is offering 20% off all Design House Stockholm goods until Friday, so if any of their products are on your ‘must-buy-soon’ list, you can save a little bit of dough.
Combining a magazine rack and a side table is nothing new, but add some wheels and us bibliophiles will sit up and take notice. Wheeling a stack of books and magazines around the house to wherever our reading spot might be sounds just fine- we can keep our current collection together without resorting to an actual library cart.

How about an updated secretary desk for your home workspace? This guy by Coalesse has a cork panel back splash to pin important notes and photos, a pull-out keyboard tray, two file drawers, and a cord management system to keep things tidy. Integrated pulls and skinny, brushed nickel legs lend a clean and modern aesthetic while self-close slides will give a luxurious feel each time you sit down to take care of your important/unimportant business.

Sale alert! The Scamp Coffee and Scamp Side tables from Blu Dot are marked down significantly over at MoMA Store, so if you’re in need of occasional tables, you’re in luck. Inspired by the form of tennis ball hoppers, these tables have powder-coated steel bases and can live indoors or outside.

You might be a little tired of hearing me talk about the new collection from Debra Folz, but you’re just going to have to deal with it, because these tables are pretty spectacular. The glass portion is made from four different layers, each having one color/layer of the pattern. As the layers overlap, deeper hues appear with a three dimensional effect. Now, the price is a little higher than you might like, but keep in mind those four layers of glass and the wonderful pattern they’ll project onto your floor.

It’s a box. It doesn’t have a charging station, it won’t organize your emails, it’s just a side table with storage to display books and such. It will last though, thanks to solid wood construction with those oh-so-smart dovetail joints, and ease into any design scheme you have for your home, because, after all, it’s a box, and that’s as simple as you can get when it comes to side tables. Use it as a low surface at 11.75″ high or turn it on its side to use at 16″ tall.
