There seems to be more mirrors made of polished stainless steel nowadays, and that’s a very good trend in the design world, as it allows for more variation in form and color. Just look at the angled sides of the Dorian Table Mirror by Martin Hirth for Pulpo. They allow the mirror to stand alone on a tabletop, and, when you’re not gazing lovingly at your face, you can admire the mirror as a sort of metal sculpture. A shelf protrudes outward at the base, giving you a parking spot for your small sundries. Plus, there are three excellent color options: gold, silver, or blue.

Stainless steel mirrors are a smart purchase- you’d have to try hard to break them, of course, and they could also possibly double as a weapon. Those two things aside, this Easy Mirror designed by Jamie Wolfond is also really convenient for the glamorous sort of vagabond. You know that weird section of your hair on the back of your head? This hand mirror will help you see it, and hopefully fix it, so you won’t look like a bum when you roll into the office each morning. If you buy either of these mirrors, you might just have to get the Cuboid Doormat to continue the 3D illusion. Maybe add the Half a Table by Niels Van Eijk & Miriam Van der Lubbe and some seating from Acne for a distinct fun-house vibe.

Clara von Zweigbergk has designed a few perspex mirrors for Domestic, and the result is your face reflected on an affordable, decorative frame. Each mirror is around 18″ wide/diameter, and with the $100 price tag, I dare say you’ll be able to find one or two a spot in your home.
