A sleeper sofa is handy to have for overnight visitors, but if you’re not willing to spend upwards of $1500 (see here and here), it’s pretty hard to find one. Enter the Goodwin. It’s decently priced, looks good, and will give you that extra bed when you need one.
Thick padding and loose cushions upholstered in richly textured woven poly (dark charcoal) or soft, stain-resistant velvet (mocha or charcoal). Converts to full-size bed. Innerspring coil mattress with quilted damask ticking. Kiln-dried hardwood frames and chocolate-stained hardwood feet. Fully assembled.

The left walnut stool has a humble name yet is reminiscent of the Eames Time Life Stools (it follows that the price makes a little more sense when noting the cost of the Eames Stools). Also notable is their other colorful stools, some of which are outdoor friendly (thanks Jake!).

Hmm, while I can think of a few heavy-hitters that I’d rather spend 4 G’s on, I can pretty much guarantee that none of them are eco-friendly. Plus, the pattern on this chair made from stacking felt pieces is superb and gives a very luxe look.
The Relief Chair remasters the art of sculpting, using digital fabrication and solid, renewable materials. Materials commonly associated with seating – upholstery, foam products and toxic finishes – are all supplanted with thick sheets of natural wool felt, adhered with non-toxic, water-based adhesives. The precision-cut contours of each piece of felt are aggregated into sinuous yet comfortable forms. The cascading edges create an integral pattern with both a visual and tactile effect.

So, once you get over the slight sticker shock, take a look at just how cool these outdoor/indoor pieces are…I love how simple the frame is, and how light the pieces appear.
Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the Club Sofa and Armchair are very versatile pieces of furniture. The steel internal structure has been painted so this set is suitable for outdoor use. Weave in PVC thread with nylon internal reinforcement, in the shade of brown, the Club Sofa and Armchair feature a unique design. Available with or without a seat cushion, these two items are perfect for lounging. -allmodern.com

I’ve posted the Piazza Sofa in the kelp color before, but this sandy color with the white pillow definitely has more of a sea breeze feel about it, and that’s always nice to have during hot summer months.
Now our long, lean, low to the floor unicushion goes two-tone. Pale khaki-ish frame/seat contrasts full-length pillow in super clean white-white. The price for such comfort? Amazingly low considering its high-end nature: Euro sleek profile in textured, tight 100% cotton weave has an air (or is that heir?) of the Hamptons about it.

Update: on sale for $49.00…snap ‘em up while quantities last.
$99 for a sturdy white chair…not bad. (It reminds me a little of the Mademoiselle Rocking Chair, for obvious reasons.)
Modern spindle plays with scale in fresh white lacquer. It’s everything a chair should be: architecture, function, simplicity…and it makes us smile. Immediately at home with metal, woods, minimal, heirlooms. Eco-friendly solid rubberwood.

Whoa, talk about style. I was reminded* of how cool these chairs are when I posted the Ace Hotel in the travel section the other day. There was a picture on their site with one of these chairs on the patio and it definitely caught my eye.

*(editorial note: Let me start by saying I love these chairs. But, by any chance, have any of you been to Mexico and/or Costa Rica and seen very similar chairs on the porches of very humble homes? I know I have, because I’ve been tempted to stop the car and ask how much they cost down there and how much shipping would be…maybe next time I will.)

Hmm. It’s appealing in a strange (and big and low to the ground) sort of way. Plus, there’s a ‘make an offer’ option which means you can get it for less than the listed price…(very curious as to just how low they’d go). Also, if you’re feeling brave: an Egg Chair in Rattan. Yep, you read it right, rattan.
Comfort meets stability with a touch of class with the Hexagon Lounge Chair. Great for rest and relaxation yet adds style and a sense of power through modernity to any interior space.

Made from steel plate, these stools and cabinet have a semi-cartoonish feel about them and in this particular case, that’s a very good thing.
Gentleman’s chamber 1953 is a fusion of nature and interior, traditional elements from a gentleman’s chamber are brought back to their essence and are reinterpreted from the point of view of the animals. This stool is made out of tree trunks or that how it appears to be. On a closer inspection you will notice they are actually made out of steel plate.

The Armchair version of the Supernatural Chair is way more of a head turner with those curvy arms…super nice.
“this new stackable chair has a structure that is the result of an evolution, more than of a design process. It represents a new vision of form, generated by digital data, resulting in a chair to be used every day, slender, lively and healthy. The liquid, organic nature of its form combines the beauty of the human anatomy with the most advanced process of industrialization of 21st-century polymers.” -Ross Lovegrove

Bring the outdoors inside with this series from Normann Copenhagen’s New Danish Modern furniture collection. The Camping series consists of chairs, table, stool and daybed in moulded beech wood and leather and man-oh-man does it look impressive. It oozes craftmanship; I’d love to see it in person.
Jesper K. Thomsen explains: “The archetypical traditional camping equipment has been my inspiration. The design has a recognition factor that brings the thoughts over to leisure and togetherness, that many think are typical of camping. I like the thought of bringing outdoor pursuits indoors or, perhaps more correctly, freedom in to the living room. At the same time, the icon, camping furniture, has been refined in my interpretation.”
