I’m a big fan of Nani Marquina’s work. She has a great sense of texture and color, and this rug is no exception.

If you’re a fan of patterned textiles, you might just jump for joy. This is an interesting design (would add a lot of ‘oomph’ to a room) for a reasonable price.

This is such a nice rug…the organic pattern adds interest without overpowering a room.
“Hand tufted of 100% New Zealand wool, the rug’s circular motif was inspired by the naturally occurring pattern of rocks in the ocean. The design’s organic shapes are highlighted by Adams’ use of rich color and pile, which adds depth and texture to the rugs.”
100% New Zealand wool; cotton monk’s cloth; latex.
Available in Brown or Grey.

This 100% wool rug is so cheap I’m a little stunned.

Not a bad price for a modern wool rug…
“Dreamy shades of green and blue are offset by deep chocolate brown for a delicious combination. A refined element for the modern home. Hand-tufted, deep, 100% wool pile with cotton backing.”

Here’s something decidedly different. Seems like it would be perfect for high-traffic areas that need a little somethin’.
“A small and portable piece of hardwood flooring on rubber, which, because of its iconic shape, is instantly associated with a rug. Created to help domesticate industrial spaces or areas with basic flooring, the hardwood rug can be easily rolled up for transport.”
Designer: Leon Ransmeier
Materials: beech wood & cork
30″ x 59″
In roll: 5.5″ x 30″

There’s nothing like a nice wool rug with a tall pile under your bare feet.

“The wool Ovo Rug (2004) was inspired by casual doodles scribbled during a phone conversation, bringing to life a constant thread of discourse in high-contrast hues. The result is formal, whimsical and soft under foot.”

About one month ago I was looking for an 8′ x 10′ rug. It’s the perfect size for a sofa, coffee table and two chairs. I looked and looked and couldn’t find anything I wanted that I could afford. I ended up getting something with different dimensions. If I had seen this, I would have snapped it up.

A good price for a nicely sized rug. And, it’s got a fun tangly orange design at two of the corners, which adds a little interest to the otherwise large expanse of neutral army green.

Do you think if I added this to my wishlist somehow it would appear in my home around the holiday gift-giving time of year? I’ll have a kernel of hope that it would be so, but maybe I’ll start another savings/money pile for it just in case. Hand knotted with 100% New Zealand wool (11mm pile height).
Also available in green.

There was a psychological study where test subjects were given subliminal messages and then given an exam to see how the message affected performance. The subjects that were given the message “Mommy and I are one” outperformed those with a negative message. The test subjects given the message “people are walking” showed no difference in test scores.
If you want to create a psychologically neutral environment, perhaps the “people are walking” rug would achieve the sort of effect you were looking for.
6 feet x 8 feet
The design on this rug is perfect for any modern home or office. Hand knotted 100 knots with 100% New Zealand wool, 8mm pile height.

A new type of modular carpet. If the Flor tiles don’t strike your fancy here’s some interchangable carpeting with a more interesting pattern. At first when I saw this I thought it was a rug with a cheesy puzzle piece pattern. But on closer inspection I realized it was infact tessellated modular pieces which fit together in the most interesting way. Good work, contraforma!
synthetic. one piece approximately 40 x 45 cm (15.7″ x 17.7″). available in light grey, charcoal grey and sand.
