Lazy Light

This light casts quite a nice delicate glow…and the size of it would go anywhere. Plus, it simply just leans against the wall, so you don’t have to mess with mounting it (and you can move it around fairly easily).

Jumbo Architect Floor Lamp

I’m guessing some of you have seen this lamp in recent advertisements, but I’d just like to share my surprise in it’s actual dimensions: it reaches up to 8 feet high! If this was from any super-high-design place, I reckon it’d be at least twice as much, if not more. So I guess it’s kind of a good deal, huh? If anybody knows different, let us know.

Luzifer : Mini Mikado

Loveliness! If I had the money, I’d buy it without a second thought.

“Winner of the Design Plus Award. Two stamped wooden veneer sheets, mounted to a pattern which lends them torsion and dynamism, make up the shade of the Mikado lamp. The stamped wooden strips design in the air a shape charged with sensuality, as well as adding an overall lightness to the piece and creating interesting plays of light and shadow. The strips give the shade a volumetric richness that change according to the viewing angle. Mikado is also available in suspension and floor versions.”

Reconstructed wood veneer. Low energy. Bulb included.

27.5dia x 22h (inches)

so pretty…

on/off light

Now this is a closeout special, so if you like what you see, you better get a move on it and buy it before everybody else snaps it up. Seems like a good deal to me…the only drawback is it’s just available in light pink or light blue polycarbonate. Sorry if you don’t like those two colors.

“ON/OFF is not operated by the usual switch on the electric wire, but by a movement of the hand which moves it into its two positions of balance. It can be placed on a table, bedside-table or floor.
If dropped or knocked it does not break, because it is made of soft thermoplastic.”

k-series floor/table lamps

Designed by Shiro Kuramata, these k-series lamps are definitely a unique accent to any room. They look like little ghosts to me, which makes me like them that much more, but to those of you less creatively inclined, maybe they’ll just be cool cloth-like lamps.

“The lighting fixtures that he developed in 1972 give an impression of a white cloth placed on the ground. It represented a revolution in lighting, with each of the light shades differing slightly in shape from the others. The light appeared as a piece of cloth rising of its own accord, seeming to defy gravity, while successfully replacting the image of a cloth with light itself. Every piece is individually formed. The process involves four craftsmen, who are specially trained to shape this unique design.”

I’m actually pretty excited to see a lamp I like that’s under $100.00- it doesn’t happen that often. Maybe you’ll be excited too? I sure hope so. The Panto Beam has a lacquered steel body and rests on coasters so you can move it around super easy.

Delight

This is probably a little different than what you’re used to. A soft, woven fibre-glass cloth is the “shade” of this light, and possibilities are endless. You can hang in on a wall, lay it on the floor- really, any way you choose, this light would be lovely.

Lightstick

These are super cool. Trust me. Also, each lightstick is activated by a foot switch so you can do the “look! no hands!” trick.

Lightbox

“It’s a lamp, it’s an end table, it’s an ottoman, it’s a stool–”

Indeed. So you’re really saving money by buying this instead of the three other things, right? Regular lightbulbs work (and it can hold up to 500 lbs.!).
