Photostrap

If you’re semi-serious about photography, you need a good camera strap. And, hey, if you can get one that’s a little more customized to your color preference, and maybe even with a monogram on the shoulder pad, then that’s even better. Should you need further encouragement, 10% will be donated from every purchase to Fotolanthropy, a non-profit that gives portrait sessions and short films to inspiring people who are overcoming adversity.

11+ Sound1 Speaker

A bluetooth enabled speaker is a dime a dozen (so to speak) these days, so what’s so special about this pair? Well, for starters, the 11+ Sound1 Speakers have absolutely nothing to offend the eyes, and one could even say they’re aesthetically pleasing. What else? Three things: embedded magnets allow the pair to be joined into one piece for storage or transport, the cables can be stored neatly within each base, and each speaker has a slight angle at its base to allow an optimal auditory experience.

Convertible Case for Apple iPad

If you prefer to use a physical keyboard, like the Apple wireless one, instead of the on-screen keyboard for the iPad, this lightweight Convertible Case will make transporting both quite a bit easier. A magnetic closure keeps both the iPad and keyboard protected when closed, and when opened, the case can fold into a stand.

Wally Case

When I don’t want to carry a wallet or bag, I use a rubber band to hold a couple of credit cards to my phone. And, yes, I often wonder when that method will fail, because, let’s face it, a rubber band isn’t the most reliable in terms of security/longevity.

So am I interested in the Wally Case from Distil Union, which secures one’s cards to the iPhone via a snap-on hardshell case with a pull-tab action slim pocket? You betcha. However, don’t go thinking you can carry all your cards; it’s recommended that you keep it down to 3 cards plus a folded bill (or two). Back the campaign on Kickstarter for $40 or more to receive a case for your very own.

The Simon, iPad Case

Remember the crocheted laptop case (The Steven) from Krochet Kids International? Well, there’s iPad and iPad Mini sleeves as well, and remember, not only will each sleeve protect your device, but with each purchase you’re empowering the people of Uganda to rise above poverty. That’s what we call a win/win situation.

There’s also a couple of crocheted clutches (The Auburn and The Wendy), a card/coin purse (The Dixon), and various other clothing, hats, and accessories worth checking out.

Mason Jar Speaker & Amplifier

What’s with the recent resurgence of Mason Jars? Who knows. Those of you who tinker with electronics might scoff at the container, but, for those of us that aren’t quite sure about circuit boards, we can marvel at this completely self-contained little speaker-in-a-jar-we-recognize. There’s something so, well, friendly about it, and though it’s small, it claims to have a pretty big sound.

Kii: Compact Charger-Connector

This Kii compact charger-connector fits handily on your keychain for convenience. No need to search through your bag for a charging cord- just pull the Kii from your keychain and plug in and sync your device to any laptop via the dual-sided connector. Note that I said laptop there; the connection would not be a wise choice on a usb port on the back of a desktop machine, as it’s meant for a flat surface for stability. See photos below and/or visit Bluelounge for more info.

Tablet Portfolio

The Pocket Reflector

What fits in your pocket and makes your next selfie look better? No, it’s not a flask filled with a strong inebriant, it’s this Pocket Reflector, that’s what. And, don’t worry, I say ‘selfie’ in an ironic sort of way, because goodness knows you’re much too busy to take a photo of yourself in your latest outfit/hat/sunglasses, much less with the right sort of lighting. Of course this would be for taking more professional-looking pictures of friends and family, riiight? The Pocket Reflector has a silver side to reflect bright concentrated light and a white side for softer, more natural-looking light. It measures 12″ in diameter and folds up to fit into a 5″ carrying case.

FastFit Bluetooth® Wireless Keyboard Case for iPad Mini

Keen eyes will detect an iPad Mini above, and the keenest eyes will see that, yes, that is a wireless keyboard case attached. How excited are you? Probably a little, at least if you own an iPad Mini, because now you just might have found a decent keyboard to type out all those thoughts swimming inside your head. The specs are listed on the retailer’s site, but here’s a quick rundown:

Small Zebrawood Speaker

It might be difficult to discern the tiny Zebrawood speaker amongst the pencils and parquet boxes in the image above, but it’s there, and it’s tiny- three inches by three inches, to be exact. And why do you need a tiny, Zebrawood speaker? Who knows, but my best guess is that you’re looking for bluetooth compatible, wireless speaker that has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and if it happens to blend in well with your oh-so-spectacular décor, then that’s a definite bonus.

The Crankerator

Photojojo is, as always, full of great photography gadgets and such, and among their newest crop of items is this Crankerator, a.k.a. the Boost Turbine 2000. A full charge on its 2000 mAH lithium battery will fully charge your phone, allowing you to take those extra photos on a weekend hike or even make important calls during an emergency situation (it doesn’t hurt to be prepared, does it?). Also, check out Photojojo’s newsletter if you haven’t already- they send out photo project inspiration and DIY tips.

Timbre Amplifier

Chances are you’d prefer no additional cords or wires on your desk, and hey, wouldn’t it be nice to have a small, passive amplifier for your iPhone? I know you were just thinking that exact same thought, and that’s why you’d do well to pay attention to this little guy. The Timbre is a wooden amplifier that boosts the sound of your phone by up to 20 decibels. No cords, no battery, and it’s small enough to throw in your bag if you’re on the go.
