• ACNE Furniture Collection at Liberty

As part of the London Design Festival, ACNE launched its first furniture collection at Liberty. Inspired by the work of Swedish designer Carl Malmsten, Jonny Johansson (creative director of ACNE) distorted the lines of the furniture to create an altogether strange version of seating shapes. • 100% Design (preview)

We've been getting all sorts of emails on London Design Week events, but the big two that I'll definitely be attending are 100% Design and Tent London. After a quick look through 100% Design's gallery preview, these are the products I'm looking forward to seeing in person tomorrow. I'll plan to take some pics (if/when allowed) and upload them afterwards. As usual, keep in mind that all products usually take a while to become available through retail websites, so contact the designer directly if you have questions.

  • What Sofa is this?

Sarah, one of your fellow readers, emailed in asking what sofa this might be. At first glance I thought it was the Tufty Time, but it's a little bit different, obviously. Any ideas? Please comment if you think you know. Update: Doug C. has shared his wisdom. It's the Strips sofa by Cini Boeri for Arflex (1972). Thanks Doug.
