Cucina Food Warmer and Dish by Hans-Wilhelm Seitz

I was thinking maybe this food warmer is a chicer alternative to those tin pans and blue jelly candles, especially because this version by Seitz is porcelain and heated by tealights. I just wish it came in bigger sizes, but it’s dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe so I’ll cut my losses.

Rectangular dish: 8 x 13 x 2.5 inches
Warmer: 8.5 x 13.5 inches
A range of coordinating dishes and platters/lids available at Lekker Home.

Awarded with the Form 2001, the red dot award for good product design 2002, and nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.

VKB TV dinner tray

TV dinner trays aren’t exactly known for their elegance, of course, but this tray might change that. Coated in a non-slip finish, it helps keep your plate and glass from sliding around, and it’s easy to stack and store. Available in white, black, and willow wood, it also has a distinct elevated appearance from your regular plastic tray variety, which might just help your TV-watching dinner experience be a bit more… well, civilized.

Amboyna Wood Cheese Board

This cheese board might just look like any ol’ tree slice, but it’s actually from amboyna trees in Thailand. Considering that the roots and branches from the tree would otherwise be burned, it’s nice to know that it can grace our tabletop instead.

-Each one is unique and sizes vary slightly.
-Food-safe.

Material: Amboyna wood
Dimensions: 1″ h x 9″-11″ diameter

-set includes a melamine tray with subtle indentions for easy carrying, a removable cooling gel pad and a porcelain platter.
-Porcelain platter is microwave and dishwasher safe.

Loft Condiment Set

Whether for you or someone on your gift list, these wooden utensils would be a nice set to add to a tabletop setting.

Handcarved from fallen Pennsylvania hardwoods, the sweeping, modernist lines are a perfect counterpoint to the minor variations from piece to piece that show the “hand” of the artisan. Set includes Jam Spoon, Chutney Fork and Spreader. Rinse and wipe down after each use.

Petit Dejeuner Breakfast Tray

Now, this is what I’m talking about, a simple improvement to a standard product makes it exceptional. Why have an ordinary breakfast tray when you can have this one with a built-in vase? (Note: breakfast in bed is a luxury with or without flowers, just want to make that absolutely clear. Also, if your answer to the previous question was ‘because it costs $100’…fair enough, fair enough.)

Table Tap

Looking more like something out of a science lab than what you would use to serve your guests, this ‘Table Tap’ makes the ordinary ol’ water jug seem a bit dull.

Inspired by inventions and scientific research, this object’s basic function has been put into a new context. Table tap also reminds us of a perfume atomiser, though now it functions as a small water pump at the table. Pouring a simple glass of water really is a fascinating experience.
