Coatracks Hooks

X’s And O’s Hook

You may not like shopping at a retailer known for furnishing dorm rooms, but these X’s and O’s Hooks fit everyone’s budget. They’re not going to hold winter coats, of course, but for jewelry and smaller accessories, they might just be the perfect thing. They look a little jewelry-ish on their own, which gives a delicate touch to your dressing area.

PIFF Hooks

The all-black set of PIFF Hooks is decidedly suitable for many a modern interior, with its shiny Bakelite and ash posts capable of holding coats and scarves and other miscellany. However, if you don’t mind a bit of color, you absolutely have to consider the color sets: full red, orange/pink/purple, and pink/yellow/blue. So fun.

Birch Coat Hook

There’s nothing complicated about this Birch Coat Hook. It’s made of two wooden dowels, so it’s simple and sturdy, and will have no trouble holding up your heavy coats and other entryway (or office) miscellany. The lower hook has its tip hand-painted in either white, teal, or gray for just a hint of contrast.

Free Standing Hanging Rack

Don’t freak out about the impending mess of coats that accompanies winter; get one of these hanging racks to siphon off the pressure. Put it in an unused corner or extra room for bulkier coats and clothes, knowing that the lower shelf will keep larger bags and shoes up and off the ground, thus giving you (and your guests) an impression of everything being in its right place. There’s also the Leaning Tower Rack ($110), shown below, that makes efficient use of extra wall space.

Asplund Tati Coat Rack

Oh, how wonderful it would be to have additional coat storage, especially if that coat storage was the Asplund Tati Coat Rack. Designed by Johan Ridderstråle & Mats Broberg for ASPLUND Collection, the Tati Coat Rack is available in two different sizes and several colors (anthracite, white, violet, olive, nougat, deep blue and orange) as well as a base in either Carrara mabrle or black granite. Which one would look best in your entryway or bedroom? I vote for deep blue.

HAY Iso Hooks

Geometric wooden hooks? Sure, sign us up, for they’ll hold hats and bags aplenty, all while giving an “optical illusion of an isometric cube.” There are several color options, so the hard part will be figuring out which hues works best… or go for minimal light grey if you’re not so fond of contrasting colors.

Jeeves Valet

I’m sure we could play a quick guessing game as to what the above item might be, but let’s jump to its purpose: it’s a valet. A clothes valet, in case you are unaware, is usually a waist-high wooden stand of questionable aesthetic value that provides a hanging spot for oft-worn items that are wrinkle prone, like a favorite suit jacket.

Fort Standard Oak Coat Hooks

If you’re thinking that these coat hooks look a lot like other circular coat hooks you’ve seen here and there, you’d be right. However, the best thing about these (other than their faceted edges) is that they come in three different sizes, in sets of 2, 3, and 4. All of the sets are the same price, which means you just have to decide on one thing: what size (and number) of hooks you need.

Cliq Hanger

If we all had an unlimited budget for closet storage, there’s little doubt we’d all want to try out Cliq, a hookless hanger. Holding up to two kilogram (4.4 lbs.), each Cliq can be used on any metallic surface and easily slides sideways- similar to a regular hanger. You’ll have to see the video below to get the whole idea, and then figure out if the sleek, minimal look is worth the cost.

Hidden Channel Wall Coat Rack

A hidden top channel behind the brass-finished iron pegs makes this coat rack special. Keep mail, notes, and reminders propped up right where you put on (and take off) your coat/jacket, and chances are you’ll be less likely to ignore them. This looks a lot like the Muir Wall Coat Rack from Amenity (just flipped around), doesn’t it?
