No, it’s not an iPad wannabe, nor is it a new eReader. It’s got no apps or games or books stored on its memory card. This simple tablet device takes the place of pen and paper, that’s all. It has a simple real-paper-look interface that allows you to make notes or sketches for future reference, then save or delete them. With a long life battery (180h) and a $99 price point, it’s awfully tempting to see how well it would work. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until June of this year to actually put your hands on one, but it could just be worth it.
See NoteSlate’s website for specifications and details.

While the price tag is a bit high on this laptop stand, it’s got the distinct advantage of being incredibly thin and foldable (yes, foldable!) for ease of transport. And, if you can believe it, they’re offering a 40% off coupon code for anyone that wants to give it a try. Just enter 10-TUV-02-MB-PC at checkout. There’s also a 30-day money-back guarantee if that makes your decision easier.
Compresses down to a 1/4 inch thin plate.

The Enclave iPad case from Brenthaven won’t turn too many heads on looks alone, (plasticky brown and black shouldn’t be the first thing you want to wrap your sleek iPad in), luckily it makes up for it in function. Besides the basic duties of protecting your iPad, the Enclave functions as a viewing and typing stand, and features a secure grip for to protect against a accidental drop. An included strap allows you to hang it from the back of a car seat, or perhaps on the bus too if the person in front of you doesn’t mind. If you’ve got a minute to spare, check out this video which best explains the features of the case.

If you’ve got the newest iPod Nano (Gen 6), you know it’s pretty slick and über tiny. So tiny that it would be more at home, say, on your wrist than in your pocket. Enter in the Hex Watch Band, a silicone strap that allows you to pop-in and pop-out your iPod as you wish. Could be a good gift this holiday season perhaps?

If you’re still in search of a stand for your iPad, then you’ll be thrilled to see another option hit the retail market. Able to use in either portrait and landscape mode and weighs less that 15 grams.

Yet another iPad stand for you to choose from… this one is crafted by hand from a solid block of FCS-certified kiln-dried Ipe wood and has a 100% wool felt padding along the bottom. A slight indention provides a place for headphones or other small things.

iPhone owners, take note, a new case/wallet has entered the picture. A leather moleskine-like outside plus an aluminium mounting device equals subdued cool protection. The outside flap could be handy in deterring any prying eyes next to you on the train or subway too.
Several nice colors to choose from… some shown below.

I had an opportunity to play around with an iPad this weekend (nevermind it was at this place looking at this stuff) and besides being generally taken with how it works and looks, I came away with a vague dissatisfaction with the plastic case that it was protected by. Now, a plastic case may suit your iPad just fine, but if yours starts showing its age with cracks along the spine (as did the one I saw), please consider a wooden case as a longer lasting alternative. This Shellcase has a metal foot that gives you a stand or angled keyboard option, and though the wood seems to add a bit more heft and size, it certainly provides a welcome warmth to balance out the technology.

If you’re an iPad owner, take note of this handy folding stand. It can be used either as an upright easel (portrait or landscape) or at a keyboard-friendly angle for typing onscreen. Made from heavy gauge steel, you’ll not need to worry about breakage, and the fact that it folds up to a compact size makes it extremely travel friendly.
(Thanks Matt!)

We featured wooden iPhone cases previously, but with the release of the new iPhone 4, why not show a few more? This particular line of products comes from Grove, a Portland, Oregon-based company specializing in bamboo iPhone cases. They are fully customizable by uploading your own artwork, or you can choose from the Artist Series, their curated selection of custom artwork from independant artists, or if you’re feeling plain, bare bamboo. Available for both iPhone 3g and iPhone 4.

I’m not usually one for decorating my gadgets, but there’s something appealing about this scrolly script sticker. It certainly would remind you in a pleasant way to unplug your laptop, and if you tire of the message, it’s completely removable.

Lacie continues its partnership with reknowned product designer Sam Hecht for a line of simple and stylish netbook cases. The Formoa and Coat both feature neoprene rubber protection, accessory pockets, and suede interior linings. Based on its size, it sounds like it’d be a good fit for an iPad or Kindle DX as well.

High technology meets high fashion in this new line of iPhone cases. The intricate and stylish surface patterns are formed through the use of 3d printing (selective laser sintering to be exact), which also helps absorb shock and increase grip. Additionally, the air channels enable your iPhone to stay cool. Four models are available: Weave, Double Mesh, Maille, and Plaid Armour.
