The Autographer

Hmm, if you’re the type of person who likes looking through loads of photographs, then this little gadget will be your best friend. The Autographer is a wearable camera that automatically takes pictures as you go about your day. A GPS, a compass, accelerometer, thermometer, color sensor and infrared motion detector are all utilized in order to figure out the best time to snap a shot. You can set the capture rate, and it will grab 50 to 100 photos an hour, leaving you to enjoy your hike/bike ride/vacation/adventure. All the photos upload via bluetooth to your iPhone (or USB for Android) for later viewing.

Impossible Instant Lab

Just one more thing today from the Kickstarter at MoMA collection, I promise. The Impossible Instant Lab is now available, and you’ve got better self restraint than most of us if you can resist the temptation of having your own photo lab at your fingertips. Here’s how it works: select a picture from your device using the Instant Lab iOS App, place it on the Instant Lab, and wait a few moments. You’ll see an analog photo appear and develop, just like the Polaroids from way back when. High five to the Impossible Lab for making this project a reality.

The Pocket Reflector

What fits in your pocket and makes your next selfie look better? No, it’s not a flask filled with a strong inebriant, it’s this Pocket Reflector, that’s what. And, don’t worry, I say ‘selfie’ in an ironic sort of way, because goodness knows you’re much too busy to take a photo of yourself in your latest outfit/hat/sunglasses, much less with the right sort of lighting. Of course this would be for taking more professional-looking pictures of friends and family, riiight? The Pocket Reflector has a silver side to reflect bright concentrated light and a white side for softer, more natural-looking light. It measures 12″ in diameter and folds up to fit into a 5″ carrying case.

Sun and Cloud Self-Generating Digital Camera

A self-generating digital camera? That means it’s capable of self-generated power by its own solar panel or charged manually with a hand crank. Don’t worry though, you can manually charge it via USB if you’re lazy and there’s no sun. It can take still shots and video with sounds and has many modern functions with a retro look. Pretty intriguing, to say the least, and some might even say necessary for documenting whatever the future might bring.
