Oh, I do believe this little shelf is worth highlighting. The unfinished edge gives it a nice natural texture and makes it a bit more special than just any ol’ modern floating shelf.

I thought this a clever idea for magazines…no doubt that some enterprising soul will be able to make this for a little less than what this particular one is selling for, but nevertheless, it’s worth pointing out.
And, I guess if you’ve got the money, you might as well spend it on this, right?

Remember when there was a ceremony to listening to music? Instead of just clicking a button on a device you actually took a record out of it’s sleeve and got to look at the cover art and interact with it. These shelves are such a great way to display your records while still making them accessible.

This is a really nice option for storage- stackable boxes lend a versatility that any standard bookcase just can’t beat. The undulating front gives an interesting visual effect, especially when multiples are used (as shown here). Made of polished ABS plastic.

I love the idea of taking an easily available staple good and being able to customize it to make it more interesting/usable/applicable. The people at Ding 3000 have a few different variations on the Billy Shelf from Ikea. My favorite is the one that hikes Billy up on the left side to make all the books lean to the right, thus removing the need for bookends.

To be perfectly honest, when I first saw this, I thought, ” why would anybody need a floating-ish shoe rack?” (notice I said need and not want). Then the other night I came very close to tripping over a couple of silly shoes beside the front door. So, now I understand.

Available in two sizes; one that holds 6 pairs of shoes and also comes with a moveable mirror, or one that holds 3 pairs. Wall mounted, stainless steel.
