Save The Date Cards

You know there are classier ways to send out a ‘save the date’ request than through email, right? And I’m talking about actual cards, those paper invites that the post office may still bring to our doors, if we’re lucky. Each card in this set is designed like a ticket, giving adequate space to note the date and event. Envelopes aren’t included, but that just means you can pick your own color scheme. Maybe liven things up a bit with a bright color?

Small Bird Card Set by Fanny Shorter

While you could use these cards for correspondence, you might also consider framing a few for a special spot somewhere in your home. Each illustration is a small bird drawn to scale 1:1 by artist Fanny Shorter and the set includes some of the tiniest birds in the world. Which one is the smallest? Apparently the Bee Hummingbird at 5.5 cm long- that’s 2.1653543 inches. Tiny!

Vote Cards

See those tiny red letters and what they spell out? Early voting begins in several states this week, and now’s the time to motivate yourself and others to participate in this year’s elections. Maybe you could hand them out around the office, or post one in a conspicuous place on the bulletin board at your local dry cleaners or favorite lunch place. Sometimes it only takes the tiniest push to get someone to the polls (and other times it takes a bull horn).

Fill-in-the-Blanks Bookplates

Bookplates! Maybe not that exciting if you’ve fully abandoned paper pages, but if you still harbor a love for the old fashioned tome, you might just like to have a few blank bookplates on hand. Keep track of the place/date you bought the book, inscribe a special sentiment before giving as a gift, or, as I might do, write in your name so the book will eventually find its way back to you if it’s ever borrowed.

Just think, some people pick up cards at the supermarket. Pfft. Not you, of course. Monthly Sticky Note

For us visual planners, a small overview of the month is pretty necessary, and these sticky notes seem like they would accompany our weekly planner or notebook quite well. Each pad has 15 sheets showing an empty grid; quickly jot down the current month’s dates and you’ll have your calendar wherever you want it. (The price is almost negligible, so maybe you can add some other fun sticky notes to your order; perhaps full moon, small maple leaf, or tetris?)

Little Thank You Notes

This is such a nice way to express your appreciation. This set of 25 individual thank you notes are small enough to carry around and leave about wherever you want. Triangle Notebook

Update: Remember this guy? MoMA has it in stock again, with a slight modification to its branding (now it says ‘MoMA Triangle Notebook’).

I’m not quite sure how a triangular shape notebook would benefit those of us that like notebooks, other than for novelty’s sake, but maybe that’s reason enough. (For example, I thought I’d skip posting this, but I kept coming back to it.) This notebook belongs to MoMA’s Destination: Istanbul, which means it’s available for a limited time only.

Features 144 ruled pages and a durable black fabric cover.
Made in Turkey
Size: 9l x 9w x .5″h.
