Hmm… the idea behind this Sphere Table<\/a> is to be commended, but I believe we’ll all have differing opinions as to the choice of materials. Now, considering this table was created by Hella Jongerius as a special furniture piece for North Delegates Lounge at the United Nations headquarters in New York, it’s understandable that it has a commercial feel that some may not like for their own home’s interior. The opalescent acrylic glass that forms the ‘bubble’ would definitely be more at home in a futuristic setting than in a more worn-in, vintage room, yet we all know that having a private and sheltered space when working is valuable, and certain things that allow us such space are worth getting used to.
