I have got to say, CB2 has really nailed it with this collection. This table is a great dining table or would look good as a desk too.
Red-hot. Hand-welded iron X crosses two U's for one red-hot diner. Impressive miters are hand-sanded obsessively smooth, invisible to the eye. Lobster red powdercoat is a major pop every which way but price. Extra long rectangular glass top reveals all, seats 6. Levelers included. • Metal X-base with lobster red powdercoat finish • Glass top • Levelers and glass bumpers included [posted by kris]

This tongue-in-cheek table can be used indoors or out, thanks to the polyurethane finish.
The innovative and intriguing Cloth Table is one of 20 furniture designs developed by Gerard der Kinderen in 2007 after two decades as a creative director in the communications industry. Topped with a ‘cloth’ made from a durable, flexible combination of polyether and polyurethane that is both soft to the touch and ideally suited to outdoor living, the table was selected as the Official Table for Tokyo Designers’ Week 2007.W29.5 x D29.5 x H29.5 in. This reclaimed teak top and simple black iron base make for an excellent overall impression (too bad the price is more towards the 4 grand mark than what most of us would consider affordable).

The legs on this table look identical to the Multi Table I posted a while ago, but this picture (or maybe the high gloss top) puts it into perspective. Plus, there's the option of 'Golden Trestles' (which, if you say aloud, sounds like some type of candybar or fantasy land).
"Dine or work in style, times infinity with our Tropics Table. An easy, modern solution that's ultimately versatile, allowing you to customize any dining nook, work area or home office over and over. Sleek and rectangular, the Tropics Table comes in 3 options." I'm enjoying the New Antiques collection by Marcel Wanders. This chair in particular strikes my fancy. It's a Klismos style chair (an ancient Greek form) merged with the turned wood technique, where wood is thrown on the lathe for the "knobby" appearance.
"A stunning takeoff on period furniture, the new antique wood-turned chairs and tables are available in matte black or white lacquer. the chair seats are upholstered with polyurethane foam and covered with a choice of smooth G908 or stamped leather of the same color choice as the frame. the seat is also available made of woven polyester belts with the cappellini logo."

The iron base of this round dining table seems to have more of a mid century flair to it- perhaps a set of vintage chairs would complement it nicely?

There are five different options for legs on this table, but the trestle legs seem to be the most distinctive...

This has got to be one of the most bizarre pieces of furniture I've seen.
