Over the past few years, I’ve read (and responded) to quite a few emails asking about the Hola Y Adios Entry Table and where it might be found. Sadly, it seems to remain unavailable despite its apparent popularity. However, there is hope: look at this little new console table from Gus*. It measures 36″w x 32″h x 10″d, which is the exact same depth as the Hola Y Adios, and is a tad less wide (-4″) and tall (-3″). Plus, it’s got a rectangular recess to keep important things in place (like keys, phones, mail, etc.).

I’d like to say this console would be easy to build, but I think that’s being more than a little optimistic. The leaning design cuts down on visual clutter, seeing as there are two legs instead of the usual four, which would help a small space appear to be just a little larger. There’s also a Leaning Man Side Table (£175.00) if you need a smaller sized occasional table. Designed by Frank Flavell for &then design.

The Tagliare Console Table has a nice juxtaposition between a reclaimed top surface and a modern box frame below.

Hmm, although the price is a bit dear, this off-kilter console would add a tiny bit of crazy to your room, in a good way…though I suppose it’s up to you to decide if you need any more of that or not.

Not a bad price for a bamboo console table. I like how the legs stick out ever so slightly at the top.

This console would be ideal for an entryway or behind a sofa. It has the detailing of the traditional Chinese medallion console to add interest but wouldn’t take up too much visual space. (I’m a big fan of mixing different styles and periods of furniture- something like this would provide an interesting contrast to a super modern sofa or chair.)
