For those wanting to add a bit of industrial aesthetic to their desktop, look no further than the A Stand Laptop Stand, which is literally made of PVC pipe. That doesn’t sound so great from the start, but it’s finished in a soft touch rubber so it feels great and doesn’t look like it came straight from the hardware store.
Materials: Rubber-coated PVC tubing
Colors: Black, Yellow, White
Dimensions: 14.2” wide and 6” high
Bonus! The packaging for this product is brilliant.

Inscribed with the names of French cheeses in the geographic area where they are produced, this France-shaped board might be just the thing to get for your favorite turophile. (I had to look that word up, btw.)

Maybe you remember seeing Peter Schlumbohm’s Chemex Coffee Maker? The same functional simplicity is found in this water kettle.
Handblown from heat proof borosilicate glass, the kettle has no lid, yet is nearly completely enclosed. The silicone stopper ensures that steam escapes without coming into contact with the glass neck, allowing it to be used as a handle. Part of the Museum of Modern Art New York’s Permanent Collection.
Design: Peter Schlumbohm, USA, 1944
Dimensions: 8.5″D x 13″H
(or you can buy it here for $69.99.)

Personally, I think the Mustache Napkin Rings have a bit more flair to them, but these chalkboard(ish) rings are simple enough to grace a streamlined tabletop. Might be a fun gift for a someone that loves throwing dinner parties.
set of 4 wood napkin rings with black matte surface, white pencil and sponge included.

Just be careful that no one mistakes it for an actual interoffice envelope (people can be a bit thick at times)…
This quirky laptop sleeve is modeled to look just like an interoffice envelope, complete with red closure tabs. Made of water-repellent poly-microfiber with a soft poly-fleece interior lining, it fits computers up to 13″, while remaining compact enough to fit inside a tote bag or backpack. Made in New York City.

War is destructive and cruel; it will mercilessly take away life and happiness. This makes me want to get my hot glue gun out, though I doubt the end result would look as nice as these.
Molded from colored hot glue. Vase bottom is made of scrap pieces which have been melted down and dyed black. Water tight. Wipes clean with water. Looks like glass, feels like rubber!
May be used as a planter, a fancy waste basket, or a decorative container.
Each piece is hand crafted. Made in New York City.
