If you read your news online, this laptop bag might be a good way to give tradition a nod while camouflaging your laptop. Designed to look like a newspaper folded in half, it’s fully lined in black satin so it’ll keep your laptop nicely protected. It’s maybe a bit more expensive than a plan ol’ laptop case, but good tech ‘fashion’ is hardly ever cheap.

Also available through mitemite’s online shop for € 60.

As a self-proclaimed tea junkie, it’s difficult to describe just how important certain tools in the tea making process can be. If you’re dealing in loose tea, some infusers can be irritating in that they’re hard to clean, and if they’re hard to clean, you’ll probably get fed up and not use them anymore (which is the case with several infusers in my top kitchen drawer at the moment). Now, this Teaball Teapot not only looks easy to clean, but it looks extremely nice to hold and use, and I’d say that’s almost as (if not more) important.

Alright, this is quite expensive for a scarf but I gotta say, it looks seriously awesome. They’re made in 100% silk and come in seven different style prints, with this lush foresty scene being my favorite.

It’s reminiscent of the iPad and almost the same price, but this is solely for pictures. The Kodak Pulse could be a cute lovers gift because your special someone can set it atop their desk and you can email your pics directly to the frame.

Impossibly sexy and devilishly handsome are a few of the words that come to mind when I see this glass. And somehow, I start to think of Tom Ford and The Four Tops’ “Reach Out I’ll Be There” plays in the background. Yes, this mouth-blown, hand-cut crystal beer glass is taking me there – to the Rive Gauche – and with the hefty price tag, it should, no? This glass is part classically-dimpled pint mug, part dark talisman, and all fantasy-inducing cup of the gods.

I love this little camera. It’s specs are perfectly competitive: 12 Megapixels, HD video recording and it’s designed to be compatible with the Eye-fi wireless memory cards which mean you can connect to your computer and upload your pictures without a cable. The best thing about it though are the colours and the styling. It’s very minimal with a distinctly Japanese look and the colours are very refreshing. Orange if you’re bold or clean black and white if you’re more conservative.
Available from February 2010 for $179.95

You can help fund scholarships for the American Indian College Fund by buying this blanket. As if we needed extra reasons. Some of the other blankets are pretty eye-catching as well, and have me wondering where I might fit one into my home.
Legendary Southwest ceramic artist Maria Martinez 1887-1980) is renowned for her black-on-black pottery, re-creating an ancient art form until then seen only in museums. In the Tewa pueblo of San Ildefonso, New Mexico, she was known for making the thinnest pots in the fastest amount of time. She shared her traditional techniques and skills with her family, her Pueblo and the world, in keeping with her belief that an individual could not succeed without supporting the group.

Pieter Stockmans brings a touch of modernity to your favorite Old World Champagnes with this sleek porcelain cooler. And when not in use as a cooler, maybe it could work as a vase for billowing tulips or lacecap hydrangeas.

Just how lovely are these glass nesting vases? Pastels sometimes can look a bit boring, but these shades are quite beautiful. To see the vases nested, go to our gift guide or to the retailer’s page.
The Spectra collection is light and fresh like a Spring breeze. The pastel shades are the same color formulas as the original glass first made at Holmegaard back in 1839. They are the true antique colors.
