One Storage by Piero Lissoni for Kartell

One Storage by Piero Lissoni for Kartell -- $ 470.00 and up.| Buy it here

Here’s another module storage system, this time by Piero Lissoni for Kartell. It’s made from a sturdy steel frame and acrylic resin doors, walls and floors, and will stand the test of time next to a cheaper version not made with the same materials.

I think something like this would look amazing in the kitchen.

Each unit is available with or without doors, and the base unit is available with either feet or wheels. The number of possible combinations is endless!

Catcher by formfreunde

Catcher by formfreunde -- € 18.00
  (convert currency)
| Buy it here

Check out this odd trapezoidal wall storage ‘catcher’. I’m not quite sure how it attaches to the wall or how much weight it holds, so you might ask before you buy, but it’s definitely an interesting storage option. It sort of reminds me of the Barnacles by Plodes Studio (in that it shares an organic faceted shape and functions as wall storage).

The Catcher is a practical wall covering. It consists out of as many elements as you like. The elements can be folded together to form one object. The Photos show a Catcher consisting out of eight modules. You can design you own catcher and order the amount of modules you need, or you tell us the size your catcher should have and we will suggest a configuration. The modules can be connected side by side or back to back, they can not be connected side to back.

PP Plastic.
The catchers sides have a length of approx. 34cm and it is approx. 17cm deep.
The price stated is for one module only.

Cubic Shelf

Cubic Shelf -- $ 602-$2300| Buy it here

I love love love these modern free standing shelves. I think the key to these is that you really need the space in a room to have them set away from the wall with enough room walk around all sides comfortably

.

Fixed or swivel bookcase, with square base. Matt lacquered wooden structure available in black, white or cappuccino, in 4 different heights. Max load: 7 kgs (15 lbs) per shelf.

Ron Arad’s Bookworm Shelf is not new, of course, but it might worth considering for your library. It’s still an interesting and ‘fun’ sort of piece for displaying books.

Approximately 20 pounds can be stored between each of the seven bookend supports. Mounting hardware included. Made by Kartell of batch-dyed fire-retardant PVC. Assembly required.

Bender (Shelf)

I don’t know about you, but I could use several of these to tidy up my stacks of magazines (all of which have flags of things to post or research) that currently take up most of my available desk space.

How often do we find ourselves with piles of magazines hard to access?
This rack is ideal for the storage of precious documents such as books, magazines, etc.
Bender comes as one whole sheet of metal. It’s easily folded and there’s no need for additional tools. Due to its vertical storage-system less space is utilized making it also ideal for tight areas.
Bender can be hung in a variety of different ways, combining colours and positions.

These remind me of the Flying V Shelves, except they have more of a wing (which makes them different enough).

Functional shelving with a graphic edge! Store books, magazines, kitchenware… or leave empty as decorative wall-art! Group several units together to intensify the lighting and shadows. Still not enough drama? Then try a version with perforated filters and amplify the contrast!
