Hand built in Seattle from sustainably harvested local hard wood, these little bright benches will stand the test of time. Modern and simple, they’ll fit into many a room easily. (While I love the bright colors at top, there’s something awfully lovely about the Oregon walnut… just timeless.)
Finished with vibrant low VOC paint.

Also available in 46″ length for $220.00.

Made from a single piece of Varioline (see below), this folded fellow looks to be a surprisingly sturdy little stool.
According to Google translator:
NOOK is made of the innovative plastic Varioline. Varioline is a sheet material that possesses a high-tech injection by one closed cell foam core, the high density of two, non-porous surface layers is enclosed. This makes the material easy and yet robust, rigid, yet flexible and weather resistant and UV resistant.

Whoa. With ever-so-thin legs, these handcrafted stools are sort of stunning. Be sure to check out the Aluminum version. Two words: yes, please.

I love these little stools–one would look great solo or if you had the cash you could get a few. Each stool is hand-made and has raw chestnut legs and a high-gloss faceted seat.

We’ve posted parts of the Cain Collection before, but I thought the stool was worthy of a post because it’s a nice colorful piece and the price is right.
Dimensions: 17.5″ tall x 15.75″ wide x 17.5″ deep

Flat packed and put together by you with no extra screws or glue, this stool sounds like it’s from Ikea… until you see the price. But, hey, if you’re as desensitized as me, $200 for a stool sounds like a bargain, especially after adding in the designer’s name.
designed by tom dixon, the offcut stool’s elementary form is the result of several innovations; the circular round seat makes clever use of the curved offcuts, its construction requires no additional screws or glue, and the stool is flat packed for ease of delivery.
dimensions: 17.7″dia x 17.3″h.

If you’ve not jumped on the get-a-tree-stump-for-a-side-table bandwagon, now’s your chance.
Each wood piece is unique, crafted from fallen cypress trees.

A stool that doubles as a deer head when stored away… smart solution, don’t you think?
My Deer, a stylish and refreshing stool, available in a multitude of colours. If you don’t need it, hang it upside down on a wall hook and presto, it changes into a colourful, sleekly stylized deer head. Ideal for public spaces, where the seats can be transformed into a decorative gaily-coloured herd on the wall in just a wink… -Jeroen Wesselink
