iBride, best known for their odd-yet-interesting animal platters and trays, now have a collection of laminate stools that take inspiration from sheep and dogs, or rather, the bottom halves of sheep and dogs. The Cloud Shelves are really something as well, and not just for a kid’s room either.

Tropics Dining Table with Trestles

The legs on this table look identical to the Multi Table I posted a while ago, but this picture (or maybe the high gloss top) puts it into perspective. Plus, there’s the option of ‘Golden Trestles’ (which, if you say aloud, sounds like some type of candybar or fantasy land).

“Dine or work in style, times infinity with our Tropics Table. An easy, modern solution that’s ultimately versatile, allowing you to customize any dining nook, work area or home office over and over. Sleek and rectangular, the Tropics Table comes in 3 options.”

Color and Leg combinations: Chocolate with Golden Trestles, Zebrano Wood with Chromed Trestles, High Gloss Walnut with Chromed Trestles

Rochelle Sofa by Gus Design

With definite roots in mid-century design, this sofa has some rather nice detailing with the exposed wood and button-tufting.

‘Solid wood legs elevate this Gus Modern couch off the ground, effecting a unique “floating” look. The wood detailing extends up the back of the sofa for a striking visual accent. Button-tufted fabric upholstery achieves a pleasing loft for hours of relaxation, while a tight back eliminates the need to continually arrange and tidy loose cushions.’

84″W x 38″H x 29.5″D.

Price: $1,829.00

Tosca Chairs by Magis

This all around indoor/outdoor/stackable chair would tough it out in harsher (i.e. high traffic) areas, but keep in mind there’s a minimum order of 4.

“Tosca by Magis is a new stacking chair with arms finished in glossy or polyamide. Tosca is suitable for outdoor and indoor use and can be used for many contract projects. Tosca can stacks nine units high and is ideal for small spaces. Designed by Richard Sapper, 2007″

Transparent Colors, $260

New Antiques by Marcel Wanders for Cappellini

I’m enjoying the New Antiques collection by Marcel Wanders. This chair in particular strikes my fancy. It’s a Klismos style chair (an ancient Greek form) merged with the turned wood technique, where wood is thrown on the lathe for the “knobby” appearance.

“A stunning takeoff on period furniture, the new antique wood-turned chairs and tables are available in matte black or white lacquer. the chair seats are upholstered with polyurethane foam and covered with a choice of smooth G908 or stamped leather of the same color choice as the frame. the seat is also available made of woven polyester belts with the cappellini logo.”

Sydney Lounge Chair

While this is categorized as a lounge chair, it looks like more of a ‘chaise lounge’ to me. But, hey, they’re selling it for $250, so they can call it whatever they want.

Outdoor safe.

“Sleek and elegant, the Sydney Chair features a synthetic weave with an aluminum frame.”

72.5″w x 25.5″d x 18.5″h

Trollsta side table

This is actually pretty pricy considering where it comes from, but it’s a pretty great piece. I think it’d be perfect as a little bedside table.

Carbon Chair (2004)

If you’ll look closer at this chair, you’ll see there’s no metal frame…it’s completely hand coiled from 100% carbon fiber and epoxy. As Bertjan Pot explains, “Every point on the rim of the chair is connected with all 4 points where the seat is connected to base-frame.”

‘Carbon Chair of Bertjan Pot and Marcel Wanders speaks of dedicated craftsmanship in connection to high tech materials and the material expertise only possible by personal excitement, passion and the love of “enlighted amateurs”.’
